GAME 1: They lost by 6 (at a nuetral site) to a Missouri team that's currently 4-0. Also, Juice Williams (Illinois' starting QB) was injured for most of the game.
GAME 2: They shut out Division I-AA Western Illinois.
GAME 3: 41-20 win over Syracuse. (The Orange would go on to score an upset at Louisville in their next game)
GAME 4: 27-14 win at Indiana. That loss is Indiana's only loss so far this season!
GAME 5: 27-20 win over No. 21 Penn State.

I think Illinois will be rank next week after they beat the overrated Wisconsin Badgers. They have the Badgers at home, so i think the Fighting Illinois will pull the upset at home, Wisconsin been overrated and should have lost at least i game to UNLV already. My upset special of the week is Illinois over the overrated Badgers.

Game 1: Missouri hasn't played anybody worth while besides MAYBE Illinois. And that is a BIG MAYBE
Game 2: Its a division I-AA team!
Game 3: Syracuse football?
Game 4: Indiana football? Plus the Big 10 is so weak right now. Ohio State is the only nationally competitive team.
Game 5: Penn State was overrated at the beginning of the season and they will prove it from here out in the rest of the Big 10 conference.
Illinois has a lot to prove still. Even if they beat the Badgers, that means nothing. They have been the most overrated, under talked about team in the nation. They looked shaky playing Citadel.
I am a Badger/Big 10 fan, but they suck right now.

One loss teams rarely break into the top 25 this early into the year. This one loss team is Illinois, who beat Syracuse, Indiana and a lackluster Penn St team. If they beat Wisconsin this weekend, more than likely they will be ranked, it may be near the bottom of the 25 though.

Who have they played again? Syracuse is good....wait no they aren't! Either is Louisville!!
Indiana....? Are you serious?
Yeah they beat a #21 ranked Penn St. Should they be ranked after that win? No.
Win this Saturday @ home against Wisconsin and they you have an argument!!

They arent ranked because they are in a weak Big 10. Big 10 is really down this year. They also are not ranked because they are Illinois. They have been pretty pathetic for a while. If they were a traditional Big 10 powerhouse they would be in the top 25 for sure.

i will give you 5 teams they are as good as that are ranked
Cincinnati, Rutgers, Kansas st., Missouri, Hawaii, i know they lost to mizz but if you watched that game you know how close it was
watch out for Illinois and Ron Zook, he is a recruiting machine and a good coach, Illinois is a sleeping giant and the ambian is wearing off so the rest of the big ten better take notice

The are 2-0 in conference and 4-1 overall. They have only collected 59 points in the AP poll, most based on strength of schedule.
You play lame teams you don't get points.

They got votes just not enough... do you count syracuse, western illinois and indiana as teams there only half decent win was Penn State... but alot of people figured that team would win... If they win next week I think they will be ranked.

I am a very big Ohio State fan and my next door neighbor are friends with coach Zook, Ill. are not going to get any respect this year big ten is weak thy will crack the top 25 soon but thy need to be there now Good luck
