Love is not insanity....but if you lose yourself in the love and/or relationship it can certainly drive you insane.

Ive experianced both and they are difficult to tell apart.
at least with insanity they have drugs to relieve the symptoms.

Having looked at the previous 18 answers, I would guess that most of the answerers are quite young. (By my standards.)
The ups and downs of young love, are something to be remembered with affection. However, they don't come close to the pleasure of a love that is forever and ever,makes no demands and asks no questions. It just is!!!!!!!

Yes, when looked at logically .... and since it is chosen with all romanticism, it is utter foolishness as well. However, this insanity or foolishness is too dear and bewitching..... the feeling is so beautiful that we just can not resist it despite all our logic and wisdom.

To a point yes. Love can make someone do something that they wouldn't normally do. Some people can even love someone so much, that when they lose them or they don't get love back equally, it can cause negative consequences.

well, sort of... a friend of mine told me this quote: "I have found the paradox that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."
maybe it's insanity because we love though we know that it hurt sometimes.

Love is fellowship, union ship, it is far from insanity.
I think the contrary is true.
Hatred is insanity.
