About 2 weeks ago I saw a deep blue spiderweb, has anyone ever seen this? What type of spider is this, I've looked online and found nothing. The top of the web was normal as was the bottom, but in between was a blue orb like web. I've never seen anything like it, I though it was just the sunlight hitting it in a certain way, but I looked at it from all angles and it trully was blue on just the orb.

Like I said, it was a clear blue but the rest was not, perhaps you need to check out your reading ability. I am quite aware of what different colors look like.

That sounds amazing, but I've never seen or heard of a blue orb web. I'm fascinated with spiders, orb weavers in particular and always stop to look at webs and I've never had the luck of seeing a blue one. I wonder if you were looking at the web in the morning. I know that sometimes morning shadows can sometimes appear bluish. Is there any chance it was a shadow that just happen to fall right on the orb and no where else on the web? Anyhow, I wish I could have helped, but I couldn't find anything online either.

EDIT:
I found something. Check this out. I'm pretty sure this explains your blue web. Apparently the sticky (orb) part of the web refracts the light producing the appearance of a blue web. That would explain why only the orb is blue and not the outside of the orb which does not contain the sticky droplets.

It could have been an orb weaver spider,I have them in my yard here in Tampa, Florida.Even more cool than the web is the spider itself, the ones in my yard are colorful and have designs on them like faces.Check out "spiney orb weaver"
with an online search. The middle of the webs in my yard are mostly blue purple colored, and very strong webs.
