He currently has 494 wins, only 57 away from tying Patrick Roy's record which he'll do next season barring any injuries.

It will be on the road, vs an Eastern Conference opponent

The Devils are a very good team, and well coached. The loss of Rafalski and Gomez will hardly be noticed on this team. They have a great coach, and a great team first work ethic (similar to Detroit) which is why this team has been able to withstand the losses of Stevens and Niedermayer without missing a beat. Gomez' loss just means more ice time for Parise. Paul Martin has the offensive skills to easily replace Rafalski (as Martin is the better skater) and the addition of Vitali Vishnevski solidifies the defensive aspect (Vishnevski has been in the top 10 in blocked shots 3x in the last 5 years).

When Daneyko retired, the team was going to fall apart....it didn't
When Stevens retired and Niedermayer left for Anaheim, the Devils were going to finish last in the East.............instead they won the Atlantic conference

I still see a 40+ win season for Brodeur. After all, he's only 35. Goalies tend to stay competitive longer than players.

I also see a 100+ point season for the Devils.

Hopefully not against the Penguins. I'd rather their name stay out of the note about that milestone. Lol.

I'd like to see Brodeur beat Patrick Roy's records. Don't get me wrong, I liked Patrick Roy, but I think that it's both good for the fans and the players to see someone attain such a level of greatness. It's exciting. Who knows, if Brodeur beats Roy's records, maybe we'll be discussing how close Luongo is to Brodeur's records further down the road.

At Pittsburgh because that's the 6th game of the year! Just kidding.

I really hope it happens in the home opener against Ottawa. It would be sweet revenge after Ottawa knocked off the Devs in the 2nd round last year. I say it's 4-3 in a shootout. Madden and Parise score for NJ, and only Alfredsson scores for OTT.

Im Hoping and Betting hes gonna get it in the Home Opener against the Sens! If Not Ottawa, then maybe the game Before that against the Rangers but seriously, its just not right to do it on the road! Just like barry bonds record breaking home run!

He has to do it at home!

Cletus is right, it certainly won't be Ottawa.

You have to think that is bad scheduling on the NHL's part to start the new building in Newark off with a home loss! The home opener in a new building should be a game you can win...they should have scheduled the Leafs!

I see him getting his 500th win against the Rangers on November 3rd. I also see the Devils not making the playoffs.
