Anywhere between US$150 and US$ 20,000, depending on whether you are backpacking or living it up.

In the Philippines, if you plan to go to the beach like Boracay or Puerto Galera or even Cebu, $2000 will be more than enough to cover for your expenses including airfare, but if your travel itinerary covers only land travel particularly in the main island of Luzon (Manila, Subic, Baguio), heck with $2000 you can live it up in style.
In Thailand, last time I went there, (last week), $2000 is a king's ransom.

USD 300-400 should be okay....

Everything like hotel, food, cab, and others will be enough.

Do take note that the hotel that I'm talking about is not those more than 3 star, 4 and 5 is out...

Also, Thailand election is on year end, politic is not stabil over there, pls take note....

Enjoy your holiday. :)

It depends what you want to do while you are here and where you want to do it.

For Cebu I can tell you this.

$500.00 U.S. is (about) 22,500pesos (at 45 pesos to $1)

If you want a (ok pension house or motel) with air conditioning nothing fancy (but ok) it will run you (about) 1,500pesos (yes you can cheaper if you know where you are going)

For example if we stay in the city over night I pay 800 to 1,300 per night (and I am fine with those places) but I know where these cheaper places in nice areas are.

So if you figure 1,500pesos per night for 6 nights that is 9,000pesos.

That leaves you only about 13,000

If you eat 3 times a day depending what you will eat, figure about 500pesos. (Just for you) That totals 3,000

Which leaves you only 10,000

So you can see that unless you are going to watch TV in your room, $500 Dollars (for a vacation) is not going to make it

On the other hand my wife and I live here and our montly income is just a little more than the $500. and we do just fine.

BUT WE LIVE HERE.

I would be glad to answer any questions I can if you want to email me.

it depends on your requirement
if you are young, and want company of opposite sex it will definitely increase your expenses, otherwise $ 400 are enough.
