Cheap and laptop are not synonymous. I have a dell inspiron and I'm getting very frustrated with it. My last laptop which I loved and had for over five years - I used that thing daily and never had any problems with it - was an HP if I could make my decision over again that's what I'd buy. So I'd say go with an HP.

The words best laptop and cheap can be synonymous together. Do what I did. Get one for very, very cheap. It is a very easy process. Just go to www.letsgetitfree.com for information on how to receive one. I got an apple macbook and I love it. They also have Sony and other laptops. If you want a wider selection than what that site offers then email me and I can give ou a link to some more. Just thought you might be interested. It is very easy, fast, and cheap. I highly recommend! =)

enable me preface with the aid of pointing out that i'm a approved Dell and HP Reseller. I somewhat have no longer something against Macs in any respect. in reality, i'm exceedingly inspired with the aid of the present Macbooks. in case you opt for the Microsoft working equipment, the Dell Vostro laptop has been my contemporary %. for perfect value for lowend laptops. in my view, you're comparing apples to oranges. they do no longer evaluate to one yet another as they the two have distinctive reward. My expert opinion: Macbooks - good (outfitted on Unix platform), sturdy courses, easy, greater rigid standards, greater appropriate video enhancing skill, ability to run XP very almost (applying application). Dell Vostro - Comes with XP or Vista, versatile with application, countless hardware thoughts, much less high priced. i choose for to advise you communicate on your instructors first and ask what they are going to be applying. finally, you will locate much less problems in case you whichever platform they're applying.
