I stopped trick or treating when I was about 10 yrs old. My little sister is 12 and she doesn't really like it either. She just likes getting dressed up and taking our younger cousins out to trick or treat with my mama. I still like to dress up too and I'm 22! But only to pass out candy or go to Halloween parties. Sometimes I get 17 and 18 year olds coming to my door for candy, I usually give them Raw eggs :) lol

I am 70 next March and, no, I don't go Trick or Treating, but I try to make it as much fun as possible for the kids who come calling.
Have long strands of cotton dangling from a tree they have to walk under, cover all my lights with green crepe paper, have pumpkin lights and a besom on display in the porch, and I dress up and make up to look (even more!) old and 'orrible!
I make toffee apples and buy sweets shaped like skulls, (magic) mushrooms, false teeth and in sickly colours.
Then I'm really mean - before they can have their treat, they must tell me what Halloween is, why they are trick and treating and why they are dressing up as ghosts, etc. I tell them that if they can't tell me I will turn them into toads!
Great fun! Really look forward to it every year. And I hope the kids enjoy it and learn something from it.

No, I haven't done it since I was about 13. Way too old now. Hard to trick or treat with a walker.

I've seen 20 year olds drive up, in costumes, trick or treating and asking for lollipops and candies.
