And both those issues were later addressed and amended in the document. that's what make it such a great Constitution, the ability to amend it........

The Constitution is the law of the land. If you don't like it and you have enough support, amend it. You are confusing the militia with the military. The Army and Navy are the mandated to be raised and run by the Federal Government (provide for the common defense). The Militia are run by States. They serve the Governor of the the State not the President.
Keeping and bearing arms prevents the loss of life and the possibility of government tyranny. Do you know of a single dictatorship that did not begin with disarming the civilians?
Besides, if someone is willing to break the laws regarding, rape, murder, robbery and assault, why would such a person stop short of breaking gun laws? This confirms that gun laws only disarm the law abiding thereby insuring that only the criminally inclined will be armed. Not the best situation.

I'm only 16, but I think they should be allowed to vote. Because I believe in equal rights for everyone. For that part about women making decisions based on emotion... I don't really agree with that. I'm a guy and emotions get in the way of my decisions all the time. So back to what I was saying, yes women should remain with the right to vote.

Your aircraft carrier numbers are a bit off. We have 10 commissioned aircraft carriers as of now, with another on the way.
And yes. We do need the right to keep and bare arms. Like many have said before me. You can pry my gun out of my cold dead hands.

Yeah so, and the Magna Carta was written in 1215 in the Middle Ages. Doesn't stop it from being one of the most important documents ever written, just like the Constitution.

To answer the question NOT the drivel that follows the question. That is why the Constitution includes the power to amend. Originally only white male property owners could vote. A property owner was a land owner, would you qualify?

Well, why don't you go live in Russia, or Cuba, or China or one of the other countries that do not have any type of Constitution written by the people to live by, then come back and tell us what you think. Because, you wouldn't survive those places. No free speech, no free thinking, no choices, etc.

Democracy is so fragile and is destined to collapse , the founding fathers realized this and put the right to bare arms in the Constitution to fight against an oppressive government that would eventually make its way to the US .

Ahhh, the good old days!! When men were men and took care of their wives and children!
Back before terms like "gold-digger" got made up... Back when people worked too hard and side by side to even think of things like equality. Back when cooperation worked.
Yeah, whatever, cutie. This middle-aged woman supports the right to bear arms because of the way men have "evolved."

Yes we do, because in addition to the Bill of Rights there are 17 amendments. 2 of those amendments gave black people equal rights(at least on paper) and another one that gave women the right to vote.
Times have changed...The Constitution was kept general to last over 200 years the way it has.

Is this a serious question?
You proved yourself wrong in the last two sentences: All guns do is cause a loss of life, so they should be abolished; but handcuffs also cause loss of life. So.. should everything shiny and pointy be abolished? Should police officers not have any weapons? Doesn't make sense.
