It really is, every aspect of it. It seems like a living hell sometimes, and I honestly have a hard time finding meaning, or purpose in it. There doesn't seem to be any at all, aside from making money, and generally putting up with BS.
Oh, and being robotic and living life on an uber-fast pace.
Are we as humans so screwed up that we can't see how insane we've made the world around us?
Surely there must be some answer to all the crap around us.

I hate to sound like a commie, but most of the world's problems are artificially derived though economic bullcrap.
Many people could have very rewarding lives if they weren't constantly worried about how to feed and clothe themselves.
Look at Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs:
Deficiency needs
The first four layers of the pyramid are what Maslow called "deficiency needs" or "D-needs": the individual does not feel anything if they are met, but feels anxious if they are not met. The deficiency needs are:
Physiological needs:
Eating
Drinking
Sleeping
Reproduction
Safety needs:
Personal security from crime.
Security as against company lay-offs
Health and well-being
Safety net against accidents/illness and the adverse impacts
Love/Belonging/Social needs:
sexual intimacy
having a supportive and communicative family
Esteem needs
Cognitive needs
Aesthetic needs
Growth needs
Self-actualization
If you can't get passed the first bunch you are stuck and never get to feel fulfilled in life.

You are so right, life is complicated, but what would be the point if it were easy, not a whole lot different from complicated, some find purpose and the rest of us just linger, but it is what it is, make the best of it and look at things more positively, you only get one shot at it so take it or leave it.

yes . really it is... but if we can't cope it , you just have to enjoy it. why don't you try to find anything very exciting to make you feel happy. God gives the hard time to the people who he loves.
