It is still early in the season and they have now won two game is a row. That hasn't happened since the 2005 season. I do like the enthusiasm instilled by Coach Kiffin and the response the team has given him. It also seems that the coach does not sit on his laurels as he feels that this team should have been 4-0 instead of 2-2. Yes, this team is tied for first place in the division. They have bye this week and history has shown that the Raiders do not play well coming off a bye. This all could change because of the way Kiffin has them prepare for the games. In less than two weeks, They have another tough test and that is against the Chargers in San Diego. Though this team is going through a tough time as it is now, I worry about the presence of LT. He is due for a breakout game and that might be when they play the Raiders. I feel as of now, this is not a Superbowl team, maybe a playoff team, but not reaching the pinnacle of excellence. I do see them reaching that pinnacle in two or three years. I also feel that they should renew Culpepper's contract at the end of the season. He is a winner and knows how to win the close games and put games out of reach. He shows tenacity which was evident from his play in Miami. Yes, he had a poor showing at passing the ball, though throwing for two touchdowns with no INTs show he knows how to take care of the ball.

Although the Raiders are coming off a two week winning streak, I think the buy week will end up hurting them. When you're hot, you need to keep the steam boiling. Also, they have some tough games coming up that will test their strengths and expose the weakness on both offense and defense. I think the Raiders are still building and cannot be considered a Super Bowl team this year. For me, 35 years a N.E. fan, I am feeling pretty damn confident about winning number 4 with the Brady / Moss combo that is working so damn well. GO PATS!!

this has to be a joke right? Oakland is still a year or two away from being a legittmate contender. Maybe if russell pans out(which i have my doubts) they can challenge for playoffs next year. Until davis sells team or gives up total control Oakland is stuck in neautral.

I thought that I'd had enough "going to the Superbowl" crap from Dallas fans, but compared to them, your statement is "ludicrous", laughable, & well, totally insane......
