I've HAD 3, owned 2.

First was back in 1990... it was a BRICK the size of a big purse, and I bought it because I couldn't get a phone-line out to where my sailboat was anchored. I lived aboard my boat.

Then in 1999 when I left the Navy, I got a Nextel from work. I was a telephone in-house engineer, and used it MOSTLY as the radio to talk to technicians in the field.

In 2002 I bought a cell when I started my own business... and I still have the same phone, only "lost" it once, and I really don't WANT an upgrade.

I have only had two and the first one I got in 2003. We had moved to another state and after we moved we could not use the cell phone because we had moved to a different state. We found out the cell phone wasn't any good moving to a different state. We got a different one but I still want a better one. I want an iphone but so far can't afford one.

4th! My first in 2002. I thought I took a long time to upgrade!

My younger bro got his also in 2002, and has had 6 phones since then.
