A fracture is a broken bone. A broken bone is a fracture.
While many people believe that a fracture is a "hairline break," or a certain type of broken bone, this is not true. A fracture and a broken bone are the same thing!
Both of these words mean that the normal bone architecture has been disrupted. This does not imply a certain type of treatment, but in general, bones heal best when immobilized. Therefore treatment often involves casting of the broken bone (or fracture) and may require surgery to fix the bone into place.Depending on how serious the break in the bone is, surgery may be needed to place metal pins or plates on the bone to hold the broken pieces together long enough for the bones to heal in the correct position.
hope this helps

There is no difference. A fractured bone is a broken bone. A fractured bone can be partially or completely broken. Partially or completely fractured the bone is still a broken bone. If the bone breaks through the skin it is called an open or compound fracture. If the bone breaks and does not break the skin it is called a closed or simple fracture.

It's the same, a fracture is a broken bone. Fracture is a medical term for it.

In my experience (having fractured my elbow twice in my life) - a fracture is a crack and a broken bone is broken in half and takes longer to heal.
When I fractured my elbow both times - it was not put in a cast, just sling - a broken bone is put in a cast.

A broken bone is usually straight across (like the top of a straw) and a fracture is more like a piece of wood which has been broken in half lengthways.
