Verify the fuel petcock is open. Verify that you can turn the handlebars, if not, break off or bend the lock tab. You can also unbolt the lock cylinder assembly.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the ignition switch. Your colors may be different. Confirm your colors with the circuit diagram from your shop manual. Jumper the orange and yellow/orange leads to supply power to the coils. Jumper the blue and purple leads if you want lights. Momentarily touch the yellow and blue/yellow leads to activate the starter relay. Have a good ride.
Hotwiring is not a crime. Stealing is. He did not indicate he was stealing a bike. I hotwire my own vehicles all the time because I lose keys all the time.

Unlike others, I'm actually going to tell you how to pick up a ZX-10 in no time - plus, it's foolproof, and you won't get caught!
Ok, here's how it's done:
A.Take an MSF class.
B. Get your liscence.
C. Get insurance quotes on a ZX-10, and have them ready.
D. Go to kawasaki.com, find your nearest dealership, and order one of those sweet new ZX-10's they brought out this year. You'll pay about $11,500 for it, plus at least another $1K/year for insurance, but seeing as you won't be in jail, you can actually get a job, pay for the bike, and, most importantly, enjoy an amazing machine.
Or:
A. Hotwire the (darn) bike
B. Go to jail
C. No job, no money, no bike, no girls, and no employment afterwards.
Happy riding!

If you remove the master plug from behind the ignition (this will require removal of the upper fairing). Make a U from wire and bridge red and black. Bam. The electrical system will pop on. If you just unplug the ignition, you can bump start the bike and it will run, without any electrical systems (lights, starter, etc.)
Keep in mind that it wil take at least a couple hours to even access the ignition plug.

Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.
There is no reason you need to know how to hotwire a bike. If it is your bike and you lost the key, take your title and proof of ID to the dealership and have them make you another one.

It can't be done.
There is a resistor in the ignition switch witch steps down the amperage to power the ECM.
If the incorrect amperage is sent to the ECM, it won't function.
Crime doesn't pay.

What you are asking is a crime.
If you want a ZX10, then go buy one.
