I noticed that you ask a question and people not only don't read it completely, but answer with nonsense. Is it just to get points? And what exactly does having a lot of Yahoo Answers points really get you? Is it about some kind of prestige? If so, what does this prestige get you?
Do this people conduct their real life activities in the same manner? You know, do they do everything half as$ed just to skim by? Or are they motivated by actions that gain them popularity and nothing else? What does this say about the society we live in? Do you thing that Yahoo Answers is a good cross-section of society to predict the behavior of people offline too? Are people really that vain and lazy?
Do you think our society overall is really based on laziness and getting a quick fix? If you are one of those lazy people, why are you afraid to work for anything, don't you want the rewards hard work brings?
Is life turning into another highschool like popularity contest? Why?

For me it's a personal goal type thing, not a prestige thing.
However, I don't run around answering questions with "Idk" "Google it" etc etc like some people do. I think they are ultimately just after the points, not really here for the true meaning. I always try to give legit answers, even go as far as to google it myself if I dont know so that I can help them the best I can. Mostly I just stick to things I already have a knowledge of without needing to google it.
Yes, society is getting VERY lazy. Its utterly ridiculous and makes me sick. You cant get anyone to do anything any more. If it doesnt invlove a remote or a mouse pad it isnt getting done. Sad, just sad.
I think life has always been a popularity contest. Proven so by societies addiction to celebs. Yesterday it was breaking news that Brittney lost the boys.......honestly, is that really so important to the rest of us? That she is a royal screw up and deserves what she gets? Yes, apparently it is, because life is a popularity contest.

The main reason for the answers is to share a little bit of an opinion or advice to hopefully help some one solve a problem or get another perspective on a situation.It is about sharing with your fellow human beings
And in this modern world where people ignore each other in the out side world IT IS NICE TO FIND A PLACE THAT FOLKS CAN TRY TO HELP ONE ANOTHER OUT .
If you do this for prestige or points then you are sorry-fully mistaken. But if i can help just 1 person out with free advice or an idea then i am happy

You asked so many questions that I don't think that I can answer all of them. LOL You are angry and that is understandable when you come across some of these people here. Points seem to be the basis of most answers. That's their reward, but I think it's the fact that they are not seen and anonymity that makes them answer questions in such a fashion. The things they can say and get away with, they do not do in actual life for fear of being ridicule and others knowing about it. My advise is to be patients and ignore most that upset you. If not, then you will pretty soon get an aneurysm and no one wants that.

what a great question! it does seem that people simply answer to get points to progress to the next level and for what!
I think our society is turing into a quick fix society, people want the easiest way of doing things, I dont think it is going to change for the simple fact that people dont reward hard work they reward quick work!
