…and it is somehow comparable to the Moveon.org General Betray-us smear?
…the anatomy of a smear, and what this is is a great illustration of the liberals and the Democrat Party playbook for '08, which is underway now. The morning update on Wednesday dealt with a soldier, a fake, phony soldier by the name of Jesse MacBeth who never served in Iraq; he was never an Army Ranger. He was drummed out of the military in 44 days.
That comment, "phony soldiers" was posted yesterday afternoon on the famous Media Matters website, which is where all leftists go to find out what I say. I have a website, and I have a radio program that reaches far more people than Media Matters could ever hope to, but the critics of this program never listen to this program. They never go to my website. All they do is read Media Matters and they get the lies and the out-of-context reports.

I asked this earlier: YA “progressives” how does it feel to be a pawn in the smear game against Rush Limbaugh?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmPBKo58R__BXS.AZrNs7XDsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071002062648AA2Dzpf
And no liberals answered the question so, I ask this:
Why do you take the lies spewed forth from your Leftist elitists handlers and run with them?

blueridgeliving - your reputation here is well known. your word carries about as much weight as a wet paper bag.
I don’t need to prove anything to you. You are going to believe what you like no matter how much proof is set before you. That’s just how you are… good luck with that.

An Excellent question, and I regret not having gotten here sooner.
There are, latterly thousands of "Jesse MacBeth's"
around, trying to make it high as a "wanna be" !!!
Have you ever noticed just how many "Wanna-bes" , a.k.a. "Liberals", DO NOT HAVE THE "CAJONES LATON HUEVOS" / "BRASS BALZ" to face the music, but have the gall to hide and scream " FOUL" ??? As A PROUD AMERICAN VET, these wanna-bes / liberal types can spot us right off, as we have a pride, that the LIBERALS / PHONIES WILL NEVER - NEVER HAVE !!!!!!!!!
BTW, THERE WERE THESE SAME TYPES AROUND, IN THE EARLY DAY'S OF OUR COUNTRY :: DOES THE NAME " BENEDICT ARNOLD" RING ANY BELLS???????

I don't know if you are lumping me in with the progessives or the far left, I don't claim to be either, however Rush did say those things.
Let me ask you, who called this person an Army Ranger? Who said that hey served in Iraq.
Also I thought by serving in the Army you are serving your country. Now because for some reason he gets kicked out he is not american enough and he is wrong. I don't get it, A solider is only a solider if he served in Iraq? He at least attempted to serve, Rush didn't and neither did the people behind Moveon.org, yet when Moveon.org does an attack it's uncalled for, but when Rush does it, oh it's ok. This is why I don't want to be a conservative or a liberal. Both views have no real basis in reality anymore.
Edit: Yeah Earnest gave me a thumbs down. Yeah!
Edit: I still don't understand what the difference between Rush and Moveon.org. Will someone please explain.

Why do you spew hate a lies from the rightest spin machine, Rush Limbaugh. Here's the facts that you evidentally missed.
During the September 26 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh called service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq "phony soldiers." He made the comment while discussing with a caller a conversation he had with a previous caller, "Mike from Chicago," who said he "used to be military," and "believe[s] that we should pull out of Iraq." Limbaugh told the second caller, whom he identified as "Mike, this one from Olympia, Washington," that "[t]here's a lot" that people who favor U.S. withdrawal "don't understand" and that when asked why the United States should pull out, their only answer is, " 'Well, we just gotta bring the troops home.' ... 'Save the -- keeps the troops safe' or whatever," adding, "[I]t's not possible, intellectually, to follow these people." "Mike" from Olympia replied, "No, it's not, and what's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media." Limbaugh interjected, "The phony soldiers." The caller, who had earlier said, "I am a serving American military, in the Army," agreed, replying, "The phony soldiers."

So you are saying a phony soldier is someone who never served in war but pretends to have served? Kind of like how Bush was in the service but never showed up to any of his service duties? So Rush is calling the president a phony soldier.

They got nothing left in the quiver except to repeat what MM tells them to say.
Until the DNC front runner get the guts to call MM on it they will be their lapdog for the 08 elections.
Please remember the result of Soros and company during the 04 election.
Kerry got destoried and we had another 4 years of Bush.
So if DNC doesn't wake up we are going to hear about another GOP president and a GOP taking back Congress.

Why is it that none of the people here supporting Rush are providing the transcript of his comments or perhaps a link to listen to his comments and let all of us judge for ourselves.
OK here it is, provided to you all by a very proud liberal.
http://mediamatters.org/items/200709270010
The thing about Media Matters is they back up there comments with links, transcripts, audio or video clips etc.
For those who don't wish to visit the site, I present to you the text.
Limbaugh I request that you either be proud of your comments and stand up for them or apologize to all those soldiers who serve there country though they have conflicting political views.

I am livid about this!
We have people FALSELY claiming to be Iraq veterans, spreading the most vile LIES and PROPAGANDA about our troops, and Rush Limbaugh calls them on it.
Then the left twists and fabricates to make Rush out to be the bad guy? And Democrat senators slander and insult him on the floor of the Senate (where the Speech and Debate Clause of the Constitution protects them from libel suits) for standing up for the troops?
I cannot believe I am even witnessing this. It must be a nightmare.
But the people voted for Democrats, no matter how narrowly and no matter what the basis. I tried to warn people.
If people vote Democrat in 2008 then we will truly be in deep trouble. And we'll deserve it, for falling for this nonsense.
Anything else I have to say would violate the TOS, so I will just sign off and say "keep up the good fight."

You're calling Media Matters a "leftist spin machine?"
You need help.
I will give you ONE MILLION DOLLARS if you can find ONE thing Media Matters has EVER published which is a lie.
Media Matters came into existence to point out Conservative lies. That is the entire purpose of Media Matters - to find LIES in the media. Which, of course, is why the right despises Media Matters...
After all.....how DARE anyone question the Rightwing Spin Machine!
It tickles the dickens out of me that you guys are defending rush slimeball. The same person who mocked a man who had Parkinson's. The same man who attacks soldiers for having the courage to utilize their First Amendment Rights.
THIS is who you defend.
It's too funny.
********************************
EDIT: Ooooooooooh......insults. How exciting.
Libel me all you want, you cannot produce ONE LIE from Media Matters. And as for "reputation" hey, I'm not the one obsessed about Islam. Who, incidentally, has never done a thing TO YOU.
Good luck with THAT.
