A woman who drinks, some kind of alcohol is considered a very huge plus to me! My wife does not knows this. Even though I always tell her to drink with me. Something! Anything! I been trying to get her to drink with me and have good times, being tipsy for the past 15 yrs of our marriage. She did at one time drink some barytle and james wine coolers, but she has completely stop drinking with me. she is very healthy. But she will never never join me in any type of fun in life, such as in this case, loosen up, get tipsy and go out dancing with me. My wife because DOES NOT like me for who I am. I am very extremely open minded and she is very extremely closed minded, so we pretty much contradict each other alot!!!! I always struggle very hard to be as happy as possible, in my marriage of 15 yrs. I NEED THE BEST ADVICE ON THIS ONE!!! From the most experienced! WHAT IS THE BEST gentle alcoholic drink, for me to introduce to my wife???

You know what? It's sad that a you feel that you have to get your own wife drunk just to loosen up. It's not like she is some kind of girl you took out and tried to get drunk to have sex, she's your wife! Be a romantic. Don't pressure your wife to do anything she doesn't want to do. You should take her out on a nice romantic dinner and have a nice bottle of wine or champagne. Tell her how much you love her and buy her roses. That's how a real man romances a woman...not by drinking wine coolers. Treat her the way you would treat her if it was your first date!

Why does she have to drink in order for you to have fun? She's close minded, you are open minded...whatever. Dude, you're an a**. All you seem to care about is getting her drunk so you don't feel so guilty about drinking all the time. If you want her to lighten up, alcohol is not the way to go. She doesn't drink...don't turn her into some alkie. How about you two figure out some fun things to do outside the home and do it. Something different. Sheesh.

Well alcoholic should not be needed. May you make to big of an A** of your self when you go out. Having fun is all right. Chemistry is more that any thing. I have found that developing good chemistry is more important. It is hard for some to be open on things that they do. they worrier about what others might think. This is not good. It will take her time to open up. Just keep the booze out of the relationship. You might get more out of it if you do not drink.

What you want is something with a lot of flavor and not a lot of alcohol. Have you tried making mixed drinks at the house and start in with very little? I wasn't the one that liked to drink, but my husband started me off with a little bit, then with each drink he would put a bit more in. I also have to watch it, it I get too tipsy, I feel horrible in the morning, because I usually get up early with the kids. So, if you have no small kids, then try daiquiris with a little ship cream, and start with a little bit of alcohol and add a bit more each time.

I'm the same way, i used to drink alot with my husband but since our kids i hardly ever do anymore. I used to hate beer but now i found a kind that i like. See if you can find a beer she might like, or wine, i drink sweet wine sometimes and he drinks beer while we sit outside after the kids are in bed and talk, or have a few beers and watch a movie. If taste is a problem try vodka and cranberry juice, you can neither taste or smell the alcohol and it will get her feeling tipsy. If she likes cranberry juice i'm sure she would like this drink.

Amaretto stone sour seems to be a winner with the ladies.. also Banana rum is pretty good too but, it's all in the taste factor. I would see if some people want to hang out at your place and play cards and get together and maybe talk with one of her close friends and see if she'll help you! It's all about having fun! Find a way to get someone to watch the children if you have any so, she's not worried about who's going to take care of them that night because then she'll be more likely to want to relax and not be up tight. I hope this helps and if you want it to be a surprise then tell the friend that you talk with that you want to do that she'll be more interested in helping you and invite them over as well it's all about the "planning" aspect of it! Good luck and i hope you all have fun!

If your wife doesn't want to drink, I think you should probably stop pressuring her. I understand where you are coming from, but would you comply if she asked you to stop drinking? Probably not! She shouldn't feel like she is being forced into doing something she doesn't agree with. If you continue, she will resent you for it.
It sounds like the two of you have polar opposite personalities. Doesn't necessarily mean you can't be happy together - it just means that you may need to have seperate hobbies to feel fulfilled. I feel for you because I hear you saying that you want her to loosen up and enjoy life, however, she apparently doesn't find enjoyment in the same things that you do. You should try to respect her for that, and allow her to be herself. If you need the "night life" to be happy, then go out and enjoy that (once in awhile).
Good luck to you!! I hope it all works out!

Using alcohol to try to lossen up your wife is very wrong? Drugs work so much better and faster than booze. Ruffies as they are called work well but sevoflurane gas which is what they use in surgery is great because they don't even remember what happened to them once they come out of it ....good luck!
