i might ought to consider the 1st answer. something by ability of Chopin, Liszt, ot Rachmaninov are dazzling! additionally try the works of Brahms or Schubert or Schumann. in case you prefer to play them or pay attention to them might make a distinction. i'm prepared on Piano Concertos- the place the piano solos with an orchestra. a number of my favorites are: Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. a million and 2 and additionally Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. a million. as far as strictly piano solos go i like: the 4 Chopin Ballades, the Liszt Paganini Etudes, and the Rachmaninov Preludes. chuffed listening or taking part in!

I'm amazed nobody brought up Sergei Rachmaninoff!

So much of his music has been used in films ("Rhapsody On A Theme of Paganini" for example)....and his 2nd Piano Concerto and 2nd Symphony have been adapted by singer-composer. Eric Carmen into pop hits {"all by myself"/"never gonna fall in love again").
