1.) Sid Bream scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 9th, 1992 NLCS. Movies aren't written that well.

2.) Kirk Gibson's walkoff homerun, 1988. The A's never recovered from that.

3.) 2004 Red Sox coming back from 3-0 to beat the Yankees in the ALCS.

4.) Buckner's lost dribbler to 1st, 1986 World Series. The epitome of heartbreak.

5.) Tom Glavine pitching a one-hit shutout to clinch the 1995 World Series for Atlanta.

#1 - Bill Mazeroski walk off shot to win the 1960 WS

#2 - Ken Boyer grandslam vs Yankees in 64

#3 - George Brett - Game 3 1985 playoffs vs Blue Jays - Down 2 games, Brett goes 4-4 with 2, 2 run HR's. 5 RBI's and makes one of the greatest defensive plays I have ever seen. This was the best single game effort I have ever seen from one player in one playoff game, considering all circumstances.

#4 - Sandy Koufax - Throws shutout in game 7 of the 1965 WS - After throwning a shutout in game 5 Koufax comes back on 2 days rest and throws a 3 hitter.

#5 - Gibson strikes out 17 Tigers in 67 WS

4) Kirk Gibson's (Dodgers) grand slam off Eckersley in game 1 World Series in 1986.

3) The blown call in game 2 of ALCS between the White Sox and Angels in 2005

2) White Sox finally winning the World Series after so many long years in 2005.

1) Randy Johnson's near perfect performance pitching against the Yankees in games 3, 6 and 7 in the World Series for the D-backs in 2001.

1) Bucky Bleepin' Dent. I was watching in a college rec center filled with Yankees fans and Yankees haters. I was with all my Boston buddies who had been ragging me all summer about the Yanks being way behind the Sox. Perfect ending. Solidified me as a MLB fan for the rest of my life.

2) Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! 3 Home runs on 3 swings. Mr October earns his title.

3) Aaron Bleepin' Boone! Lead off, walk-off home run in bottom of 13th inning of game 7, 2003 ALCS.

4) 1996 World Series Game 4.. Jim Leyritz 3 run homer completes comback from 3 run deficit and is the rock on which 4 championships are built.

5) This is an emotional one. Catfish hunter taking the mound with a sore arm in 1977 World Series and absorbing a brutal loss so the Yankees could keep the rest of their rotation in order. He had absolutley nothing left but just pitched with pure guts and courage.

5) Tie - the last inning home runs on back to back nights in the 2001 WS, but that was all so weird I just couldn't emotionally process it.

EDIT: Brian M, That play with Griffey scoring might have been the most gut wrenching. It had been 14 since the Yanks were in the playoffs and I had the feeling it would be Don Mattingly's last chance. Yanks were up 2 games to none and then could not stop the Mariners. When that run scored, I just crumpled to the ground and nearly cried.

So, I'll put my bottom 5 post season moments:

5. Fat pig David Wells blowing up on the mound in 2003 World Series.

4. Braves 16, Yankees 1, Game two, 1996 World Series

3. Mariano gives up a broken bat bloop hit in the bottom of the 9th and the Yanks miss winning a miraculous 4th straight World Series

2. Mariners beat the Yankees in 1995.

1. 1981 World Series - after finishing the year with a 0.58 ERA Goose Gossage can't get an out against the Dreaded and Evil Dodgers who win after being down 0 games to 2.

hey twofold -- gibson's hr in 88 was a 2-run shot ... not a slam... still ranks as one of the best all-time .. i mean the guy has 2 bum legs .. hits 2 mammoth hrs off the mets in nlds and limps to the plate against eck and sends the a's home for good ... the la starting lineup in 1988 ws had less combined hrs than canseco had himself ... what gibson did was beat the best closer, the best team with no legs and only 1 swing ---- case closed as best perfomance in a playoff
