Well, I can't speak for all women, but I can speak for myself. No, I don't look at childless men as having no clue on how to raise children. I have male friends that would make wonderful parents but have chosen not to for various reasons. I know of men who play the field and have always been wise enough to keep it wrapped in order to avoid being fathers to children they don't want. Many of them could parent and do a fine job but they just are not ready. Then again, I have married friends who have children and the dad can't parent worth a darn. Whether they don't know how or they just can't be bothered is beyond me.
The thing is, it's not only men who can or can't parent. Women are the same. There are many who do not have children who would be wonderful parents and many who are parents who should have left parenting to someone else and instead played with dolls.
Parenting is more of an issue of what you are willing to do and to give another human being. What you are willing to learn and to sacrifice. Personality and patience.
It's really not a matter of gender.

I know you said this was only to be answered by women, but I would like to give a little input from the male point of view!
I agree with you! but it works both ways. After my divorce I wouldn't date a woman who didn't have children.
They didn't have a clue how to deal with them.
I feel there is no substitute for experience!
Its not just men. BTW, I have custody of ALL my children, 5 boys!
So there are great DADS around! Just not enough!

For some reason nevertheless, blacks are view otherwise instead of equals. Regardless if the mum is black or white of a biracial newborn, a sturdy mom isn't in accordance with colour. i understand countless moms with biracial children, and a variety of of alternative white moms that followed black children. those children do not seem puzzled about something. They understand they're loved. They understand they're in many circumstances inspite of they prefer to be even as they advance up. They understand that training is major. between the perfect celebration is our president now. He replaced into raised by utilizing a unmarried white mom. yet why does colour even count number?

No. I think everyone is an individual. I've seen men that have no clue and have their own children! I also know men that have no children of their own but are amazing with kids. It all depends on the guy.

I don't think so. It probably depends on the woman. I know when I met my husband, I already had my daughter, and I have never thought or questioned what he did. He does a great job at helping me raise our daughter, and now we have a boy on the way. I know lots of women who have children and have NO idea how to raise them!!!

No, Just because you don't have kids of your own, does not mean you can not raise kids. That is not what makes a good parent. The only way I feel they are clueless is when they really don't have a clue about kids. More like ignorance at that point.

I look at all childless people, men and women, as clueless about raising children. It kills me when I hear these people complain about someone's kids being loud or messy or whatever, or bosses without children who don't understand your kids getting sick. They don't have any inkling about what it means to be a parent. Then again, there certainly are some people with children who are also clueless about how to raise them. Britney Spears, natch.

I think that most women feel that no man can raise a child as well as any woman. I guess it's that motherly instinct. It's not because I think men are dumb, it just seems like women are more in tune with what kids need than most men.

No. No one has a clue when they start out. Men and women alike. I know a few single dads who raise their kids just fine alone and do a great job of it.

No, I dont. I think in some way everyone "knows" how to raise a child, it just takes having one to realize it. I would never have thought I would be capable of being a mother and Im doing just fine, my husband wasnt the "father" type but he is a wonderful dad!!
