Do you think my husband and should wait to have sex until i am at least 12 weeks.

yesterday and today i have a brownish dishcharge like substance like it might be implantation bleeding. I have been extremely thirsty yesterday and today. very sore and swollen breasts. Before I the brownish discharge i had slight cramping.

If you feel safer, abstain.

But miscarriages that early on are generally not a failure of your body to keep a pregnancy, but the ovums failure to develop right.

Either way, just keep in touch with your doctor.

I had a miscarriage in march then got pregnant in june and almost miscarried. I was told not to have sex and get lots of rest while I had the brown discharge. I would wait until the DR gives you the ok. And take it very easy..no heavy lifting lots of rest . I am now 16 wks pregnant, so I would just be careful..and follow your instincts

Early miscarriage is normally due to a problem with the embryo, not anything you do/did. That said, having sex shouldn't have anything to do with your chance of miscarrying. If it was a concern, your doc would tell you to wait.

BUT anything that sets your mind at ease is what's best. If you feel better/safer then tell your partner that you don't want to have sex until you're sure the pregnancy is safe. He should understand.

Sex doesn't cause miscarriages but if youve had a few I would wait just because sometimes pregnant women who have miscarried regularly are considered "high-risk" which usually means a doctor may put you on something called pelvic rest. I would abstain just to be on the safe side.

my wife had a miscarriage in march and also in july too...she is now almost 10 weeks pregnant again and the doc at the hospital advised us not to have sex until at least after the 12 weeks...which we will adhere to..if there is a risk at all then just avoid...that's we were told to do..good luck!

I would say start by asking your doctor. If you feel that having sex right now might not be the safest thing for you then wait a bit. Good luck and hope everything goes well.
