I'm also an Eagles fan. McNabb's problems are far more than just missing Brian Westbrook. First, he is not moving very well yet because he is still not 100% from knee surgery. Second, for some reason Andy Reid can't or won't make adjustments in the offense when there is an obvious problem until it's too late i.e.(Winston Justice was over matched by Osi Umenyiora). Osi Umenyiora just made the pro bowl for this year on this game alone! Reid also made no attempt to give Justice any help blocking. Third, you still must remember that with all of that six starters were not playing in that game, four of which are former pro bowl players. The game was still within reach until late when the defense got worn down from being on the field all night. Things aren't as bad as you might think. Having said that, if McNabb doesn't start playing better by the next game I think Kevin Kolb will have to be given a chance.

It not westbrook it the offensive line and coaches. He got sacked 6 times by one player. Don't you think the coach would have figured something out by the 3rd sack. Of course your game will go down a little when you lose someone who is 35-40% of your offense. The coaches had no gameplan without westbrook. Its not so much Mcnabb's fault but the coaches. If he wasn't injured he could have escaped some of those sacks by running but that was not an option so just give him time to heal and hope the eagles and slid into a wild card.

Are you joking? Mcnabb has put up great numbers in his career when he didn't have westbrook. Before westbrook Mcnabb had Duce Staley who was a up the middle power running back that wasn't good in space catching the ball and wasn't very agile. Mcnabb has got it done with decent WR's before. Westbrook is definitly a plus to have but have you looked at Mcnabb's stats when he doesn't have Westbrook? they are basically the same with or without him. Mcnabb's defense isn't doing its job and the o-line can't protect him. 12 Sacks in one game? i don't think thats his fault. He's got a banged up O-line, So don't go asking stupid quistions when you don't know your facts. You say Hes crap without Westbrook, but all his stats are the same with or without him...he's had ONE bad game without Westbrook and you start calling him crap? you are an idiot and obviously not a true eagles fan, dont go making stupid remarks about him if you no nothing....

McNabb is not the same since the knee injury. He is pressing to a little to much trying to make things happen. Without Westbrook in the lineup was big but the reason the Eagles looked really really bad against the Giants was bad coaching not adjusting to the Giant passrush.

I agree. Westbrook might be the best all-around back in football. He always rescues McNabb when McNabb gets a case of the inaccuracies, which happens often.

Westbrook had little to do with it. Even had he been in the game, if the offensive line played as badly as they did this weekend McNabb AND Westbrook would have been falling on their butts. You can't drive down the field when your offensive line plays like it's made out of paper.

I'm an Eagles fan too, and I was EMBARRASSED watching that game. Andy Reid (and the coaching staff) has to learn to make some adjustments. Crappy game, crappy playing, and crappy coaching.
