I have a really tiny little bump appearing now but to other people you can not tell I am pregnant. I am worried it means something is wrong with my baby??? When I had my scan at 13 weeks everything was fine and the baby was a good size but as I am hardly showing I am worried it might have stopped growing properley or something??? I have still got pregnancy symptoms. Is anyone else pregnant but hardly showing???

You sound like a first time mother.

You are VERY worried, and you should be asking your doctor or his nurse this question. They are responsible for helping you bring a healthy, happy baby into the world, and Yahoo Answers people are not qualified to answer for your doctor. Your OB wants to know about your concerns. That's part of the job.

I am about as pregnant as you are so I know what you're thinking. Your baby is about the size of your thumb right now, so you really wont notice it. The little bump that you have is exactly what I have, and the disappointing part is that it's not even from the baby it's from the sac that the baby is in. The little angel takes up only a fraction of this sac right now so you won't show until about 5-6 months. That's when your baby starts to out-grow the sac and starts to stretch it. Everything should be fine with your baby though. The people that show too much in early pregnancy most likely are over-eating. Be careful not to do that. When a baby is born, it's at most 8 pounds. That means that give about 4 pounds of fluids and tissue to hold the baby, you should only be about 12-14 pounds more at 9 months than you weighed before your pregnancy. Trust me, if you were healthy 3 weeks ago, you should be now as well. If your still worried, consult you ob/gyn. Enjoy your pregnancy and try not to stress so much, stress is not good for the baby. ;-) Congrats!!

Theres nothing to worry about everyones different, some show more than others and some show less. The baby bump is usually what should be appearing by 4 months. Its normal, you probably won't start rounding out for another month or two. If everything is fine and the baby is growing right then theres nothing to worry about. I know it does kind of stink because you wanna show off your cute pregnant belly but just give it time it will pop. Then you'll be wishing it hadn't, your lucky, it's hard carrying around all this weight =)

Hi there,
i am now 37 weeks pregnant and my stomach is the size of a little soccer ball. people think im 20 weeks. but i could be having my baby any time now. i only started showing at about 20 weeks or so. also thought "where is my baby, she cant be healthy" .but dont worry about it, even if you dont show much, the baby takes what it needs. some woman just put on massive amounts of weight, others hardly anything. ive put on about 11 pounds. thats nothing and my baby is perfectly healthy and due in 3 weeks. good luck

If the scan showed that everything is fine, everything is fine.

This is my 4th pregnancy. My first I didn't show till I was 6 months then I blew up. My second I first starting showing at about 4 months but not where ppl that didn't know me would notice. My third I didn't show till about 5 months. But this one, and I am only 3 months, I started showing 3 weeks ago.

Every pregnancy is different, even for the same women.

Honestly, I freaked out too, I'm 17 weeks now, and I spoke to my doctor he said that simply if you aren't showing now (like me but have that little bump) that that generally means we are going to show big time come approximatly late in 5th month or even mid 6th month. So long as the baby is well, and all of your tests are still excellent, don't worry about it.
Congratulations in your pregnancy by the way and have fun with it, though I know it is psychotic trying to keep level with everything. If you really are concerned ask your OB/GYN or ask for your ultrasound to be pushed up a little sooner for your concious, but honestly, I was freaking out too about the same thing, just think the good news is about this - we can stay in our regular clothing still just a little bit longer, but it will probably happen all at once. Enjoy your pregnancy! :)

I'm overweight and I wore my regular jeans up until 20 weeks or a little more. I asked my doctor and he said the baby was fine and growing steadily and he wasn't worried about my weight nor my appearance. I actually lost weight int he beginning, it wasn't until 20 weeks that I started gaining some weight and had to use maternity pants. Don't worry, every pregnancy is different, even in the same woman. Just ask your doctor every time you go in for a checkup if your baby is developing correctly. Congratz.

Hi i am pregnant with my first baby and i didn't start to show till 21 wks, was reassured all was normal. I was fit prior to getting pregnant and i am tall so there is a large cavity to hide in. I am 29 weeks now and i still only have a small bump, but when measured i am told i am big for gestation. Crazy!! So i wouldnt worry, if the midwives arent worried then you shouldnt be. ok

Its easy to say but hard to do - Don't Worry. I was 24wks/6 months before people believed me, I just look like I'd eaten a big dinner until then. Baby grows slowly until the last 4-6 weeks and then starts to put on the weight, he starts to store body fat instead of developing. If the scan shows good results, try and enjoy it, you'll soon look pregnant and everyone will be able to see for themselves. Keep seeing your mid-wife and having checks, they will keep an eye on you and you can enjoy carrying baby. Good luck

With my first baby I didn't show at all until at least 5 months, with my second it was 4 months. It is normal for a first pregnancy and if you are tall it may take longer to show. You are just fine and sort of lucky, I have a friend who with both children by 3 months looked 5 or 6 months and could barely move by 7 months along.

This is your pregnancy and it is unique to you. Congratulations.
