That's not your job. It's the government's job to make up the news.It would be a great change of pace to write a story that is truthful and in-depth.

"If you are a conservative, you don't even need to make sure all your facts are correct. Once one major outlet bites on the story, all the others will follow. If the story is outlandish, it's even more believable and will receive greater coverage."

Well no reader HAS to read anything, it's their personal choice to read or not to read .

I am sure if you used your imagination you could find ways to make news, just make sure it's not violent or anti-social because ultimately just to be in the news is a lousy reason and you'll end up paying for that sort of thing.

Do something original or unique. Raise monies for people in need , volunteer at a soup kitchen, or a food bank, with Thanksgiving this weekend (I'm in Canada so don't say it's in Nov., Canadian thanksgiving is next Monday here)if you are in Canada there will be ample opportunity to get your picture in the paper if you want to.

As one who has written for newspapers and been in the news herself a few times, nothing violent, it's no big whoop. People don't treat you any better because you're in the news. There are no advantages.

You would be better of asking Clarence Mitchell - he can keep a 'dead in the water' story going longer than an ever ready battery.......
