My babe is due the beginning of February, and after my latest scan, the naughty lil bubba wouldn't show me what sex he/she is! So having to think about girls AND boys names, I have come up with a shortlist and would love your help in deciding between them :-)

Girls names: Amari or Neesee
Boys names: Jaheim or D'angelo or Santiago or Deshawn

Thanks! xxx

Just wanted to add, I know these names sound 'different' but the babes roots are in brazil and america (even though I am british but the dad isn't) hence the very kind of 'american' names!

Everona... the baby's dad is called Angelo, so D'angelo being a variation on that,... well i quite liked it :-)

Sorry if my names have offended anyone, I personally don't think they are 'ghetto' but everybody has their opinion. Would just like to know people's favourites out of the list, no need to answer if you don't like any :-) xxx

I love the name Amari because it means eternally beautiful... what better name to give your daughter than to tell her she is beautiful no matter what!?

Neesee is pretty too, but just doesn't mean as muc to me.

For boys names, I love D'angelo! It's strong but cute. I also like Deshawn. Calling your little boy and angel (D'angelo) or giving him a name that will always remind him that God is gracious (Deshawn) is a beautiful way to start his life!

Good luck! I know you will pick the perfect name!

I love the name Amari for a girl personally, as for the boy, I like Santiago followed by D'angelo.
Good luck with your pregnancy and happy baby birthday come Feb :D

I find them all unappealing...I mean really, can you ever imagine her in a career with the name Neesee? Or Deshawn? Bleh thay are ALL unoriginal ghetto names where I am from . Name your child something that says class and style and god sakes NOT Amari (which is an Avon fragrance) or Neesee or D'Angelo. How about Evan, or Ivan, or Daniel. Theo, Maximus and Octavius are good names if you dont want the traditional ones. I listed some websites to check out. Good Luck.

Amari is so cute! I hate Neesee, sounds like a silly nickname.
Suggestions:
Amya
Amyre, Amir
Angie(Angelo and Sophie)

I like Deshawn for the boy. D'angelo is a nice name but so close to Angelo.

I am so sorry, but I don't like any of them!
I guess if I really had to choose it would be Amari and Jaheim as the others sound like place names a little too much.
congratulations and good luck with your new baby.

Amari is pretty - not sure on the boys name, they sound a bit pretentious! Think ahead when the child is going to school and how difficult the name is for the child let alone the other children!

Don't forget as well children are very cruel and will pick on a child with a strange name!

Good luck with your baby in Feb. X

I personaly think that Amari for a girl and Deshawn for a boy would be very cute and special names as they are unique names.

I have to say though these wouldn't be my choice for my baby's name but it is you baby and if you wish to call them any of these that's your desion.

Also if you can't decide between two names (e.g. Jahiem and Deshawn) try making a middle name aswell (Jahiem Shawn/Shaun without the "De").

Just my opinion and good luck hope everything goes fine.

Hope I helped!

Amari is lovely - sorry love, I don' t mean to offend, but I don't like the boys' names you do. Why don't you write the names on paper, put them in a bag and take one out and let fate decide!!! LOL. Good luck with the baby.

Amari is very nice.
The boy names sound a little too ethnic. Maybe use one as a middle name with something simple like Mark or something.
