This will be a tough one, as there are so many choices.
The ACLU as we all know is anti American, anti Christ and anti Family. Occasionally they will take a token case to try to gain some credibility as a positive organization.
Please list the most despicable case you feel, they've taken on.

NAMBLA by far, especially when the ( at the time ) head guy in charge was later found to have VERY violent child pornography in his possession. Go figure why the ACLU represented nambla pro-bono.

Their nutty, inexplicable defense of NAMBLA (The North American Man-Boy Love Association) is by far the most egregious, but the one that is possibly the most despicable is the one that affects you, me, and everyone on this website on a daily basis: their lawsuit against the government being informed about invalid Social Security numbers.

Imagine this: the Federal Government is simply trying to enforce a necessary law, that of identifying invalid SSN's. Currently, a company has to produce a valid SSN for each employee, but the ACLU says that is an invasion of privacy. Illegal aliens brazenly use fake SSN's to get employment, and believe it or not, one of the biggest hiring culprits is... the Federal Government. Now, it is trying to "clean house", but the ACLU is using a frivolous lawsuit to block them.

The ACLU is saying that the government has no right to know if someone is here illegally. If they should somehow prevail, all the illegal aliens will have an easy time staying, and the current 12 million or so illegal Mexicans may increase greatly once word gets out that our government doesn't even have the authority to enforce its own laws!

That is by far the most despicable.

In international marketplace crude oil costs have long gone down. There are restrict on costs at enjoyed ones point.. costs are desperate by ability of government. there's a cost administration. certainly, expenses are greater so no longer worthwhile. call for and furnish of shares, profitability of the organization, promotors' integrity, government rules, operators, international traits etc. are the climate in determining share costs.

1.) 1963 Abington School District v. Schempp banning the Bible from schools

2. Doe v. Bolton, overturning Georgia's abortion laws

Actually it is probably easier to list the cases that are not despicable, the ACLU won't stop until we are all communists
but then , that is my opinion

ACLU Sues Over Sex-Offender Ban

May 31 03:04 PM US/Eastern

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Six sex offenders sued the city Wednesday to block a new ordinance that bars them from venturing within 1,000 feet of parks, pools and playgrounds when children are present.
The plaintiffs went to federal court to argue that the law is unconstitutionally vague, violates their rights to vote and attend church, and prevents them from freely traveling on roads that may pass within 1,000 feet of the affected sites.

The ordinance was approved May 15 and took effect immediately. It carries fines of up to $2,500.

The law includes an exception that permits sex offenders to visit those sites as long as they are with another adult who is not a convicted sexual offender.

The six, who include convicted child molesters and rapists, are represented by the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana.

The city's legal office did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The fact that they are doing their utmost to fulfill the communist agenda. People are so easily duped because they have "American..." in their name, so people just assume that they are for the best. Like when someone says, "it's for the children"...how can you resist?
The ACLU is BAD for America.

Top Ten Myths About The ACLU

10. The ACLU is non-partisan:
The Truth: Not only were they founded on Communism, they are about as liberal an organization in existence.

9. The ACLU Cares About Your Privacy Rights:
The Truth: Despite all the rhetoric over the current NSA program, where the ACLU opposes the U.S. listening to traitor’s having conversations with terrorists, the ACLU has no room to talk when it comes to violating privacy.

The American Civil Liberties Union is using sophisticated technology to collect a wide variety of information about its members and donors in a fund-raising effort that has ignited a bitter debate over its leaders commitment to privacy rights.

8. It is a patriotic thing to support the ACLU.
The Truth: If you think the ACLU represents the average American values, then you are sadly misguided. Their absolutist views of liberty go far beyond what most people could ever support. They support the legalization of child porn distribution , and un-regulated prostitution. They are far from the traditional thoughts of patriotism, constantly defending Americas enemies, and fighting efforts of military recruiters.

7. The ACLU Defends The Bill of Rights.
The Truth: The ACLU defends the parts of the Bill of Rights that are in line with its agenda. What about the second, ninth, and tenth amendment?

6. The ACLU Defends Religious Liberty
The Truth: The ACLU claims to be the great defender of liberty, but the truth is that their definition of liberty is limited to what alligns within their agenda. As a matter of fact, the ACLU is the foremost religious censor in America.

5. The ACLU’s Slogan of “Keep America Safe and Free”:
The Truth: What a joke! When 9-11 occurred what measures did the ACLU take to ensure our safety? None, zip, nada. This organization has done nothing to ensure our safety, in fact it has chosen to sue our government on behalf of terrorists outside of their legal jurisdiction while they were located in prisons on foreign soil.

4. They Defend the Oppressed and Helpless:
The Truth: If you count terrorists, child molesters, and murderers as oppressed and helpless, then you may think this one is true. The truly defensless are the very children being harmed by these perverts the ACLU defend. The ACLU don’t believe children have any rights, unless it is to murder their own children without their parents ever knowing.

3. The word “American” in their name truly reflects what they are:
They are constantly stepping outside the bounds of America, reaching out to help the very enemy. They fight every effort by our government to protect us, and sue them every chance we get. For the ACLU, the mighty checkbook takes precendence over America’s security, and many think they are rooting for the enemy. It isn’t hard to believe when they try to get admitted terrorists off the hook.

2. The ACLU Was Founded On Noble Intentions:
The Truth: One of the great myths of the 20th - and now 21st - century is the belief that the American Civil Liberties Union was an organization that had a noble beginning, but somehow strayed off course.

That myth is untrue. The ACLU set a course to destroy America her freedom and her values - right from the start.

From its very beginning, the ACLU had strong socialist and communist ties. As early as 1931, the U.S. Congress was alarmed by the ACLUs devotion to communism.

Baldwin openly sought the utter destruction of American society. Fifteen years after the founding of the ACLU, Baldwin wrote:

I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself, I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.

1. The ACLU Does Not Collect Taxpayer’s Funds:
The Truth: The Civil Rights Act, intended to help poor people who could not afford to defend their rights, grants judges the right to award attorney’s fees in civil rights cases. The ACLU have turned this on its head, often using it to threaten small schools and local governments that can not afford to defend themselves from the ACLU.

The exist to ensure the Bill of Rights is respected and enforced equally for everyone. You may not like the people they defend, but remember, "Liberty is defending someone else's right to do what you don't like."

They fall a little short on 2nd Amendment support, but then, they do have a huge Democratic base (and we know those Dems hate guns). The NRA does a good job of picking up that slack. I'd also like to see them focus a little more on the 10th Amendment.

Their causes are often despicable and sickening, but but the ACLU is a necessary evil.

No organization has worked harder to defend Americans' civil liberties and rights from this war-mongering, totalitarian, neo-Nazi administration.
I don't see the Supreme court or Congress doing anything except stooping to new lows to gratify Bushco and it's degenerate constituency.
