Unclear question ...What crystal?

Any crystal is the natural arrangement of any compound when allowed to cool from a saturated solution.

Diamond is a crystal form of carbon.
A quartz crystal is a six sided crystal of silicon dioxide.

If you mean the crystal that glassware is made of it is Molten silicon dioxide with small amounts of lead mixed in, which (like glass) is cooled fairly quickly so that it cannot form a crystal. These are known as supercooled liquids and are amorphous having no defined shape.

A crystal is any solid in which the atoms are arranged in a highly ordered regular repeating arrangement. Crystals, if allowed to grow freely, always form particular shapes. However, the shape varies according to the particular substance.

An example: common salt -sodium chloride.
This forms very simple cubic crystals in which sodium and chlorine atoms alternate to form the crystal structure.
