You obviously don't know anything about Malcolm X, if you did you'd know that he did change before he died, and that the government in collaboration with the Nation of Islam killed him.
I LOVE MALCOLM X AND I DO WEAR A SHIRT WITH HIS PICTURE ON IT PROUDLY.

NO MALCOLM X IS NOT SAME AS KKK; KKK KILLED INOCENT PEOPLE
MALCOLM X KILLED NOBODY AND HE FOUGHT AGAIST WHITE AMERICAN RACISM. There might of been a FEW innocent whites, BUT MOST WERE NOT!

I would much rather read into his history, ideologies, and study his life before I would even consider putting his shirt on. Same thing with Che.
Many people nowadays just put on the shirt buy the books and accessories of all these revolutionaries without really knowing what they stood for and their hope for the future.
For Example Che: I respect him b/c of his fight for change in the revolution but can't take away the fact that many Cubans hate him for the many murders he committed tearing families apart.
I say find the true meaning before you slander any revolutionary name by making a commodity out of them.
I don't think this is exactly what they would have wanted for the future.

RE: Non black wearing Malcolm X shirt? I love Malcolm X because I find him so interesting - and the fact that he stood up what he believed in so firmly. I read his autobiography and even made a report on it for high school later on. SO i got a Malcolm X shirt - but not sure if this might be offensive to some - its the t shirt where...

I did when I was younger. I'm not sure if I would now because I understand the power of images and a lot of people associate Malcom with racism although it is clear that by the end of his life he totally changed and renounced those views. I'm not ruling it out, but I am aware that in wearing it a lot of people would perceive me to be racist because many Americans don't really know about much about him except for his ties with the Nation of Islam.
Have you ever read "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" by Alex Haley? If not, read it, or watch the film that Spike Lee made about it about 15 or so years ago: "X". It stars Denzel Washington and Angela Bassett. It is pretty close to the book. The book talks about his life - how his father was killed by the KKK, his criminal history, his conversion to Islam, his rise to power in the Nation of Islam, his fall - and eventually how he came to understand to embrace all people. (A lot of people don't know that last part.) His life story is incredible and it is awesome to read how a person goes from being really racist to completely changing his views. It is hard to change, and to see someone totally change like that is incredible.

No.
Malcolm X was a huge racist, part of the Nation of Islam, then he joined mainstream Islam. Muslims treat non-Muslims as subhumans.
I would not put a KKK logo/sign/picture on my shirt. Malcolm X is the same.

Yes, I use to have one when I was younger. I didn't know anything about him until I read his book when I was in middle school. I knew that he wasn't the racist everyone thought he was and I wore the shirt with pride!

Anyone who say that Malcolm X is racist, they either are uneducated, dont know enough about Malcolm X or is a racist themself. "If speaking the truth about america makes america racist, then thats what america is".
