why is it that these days, even short walkable distances, people are too lazy to walk and instead, they drive?
why is it that people refuse to use solar energy or even gas rather than filling our atmosphere with crap from power plants?
so many choices made by people all around the world, are slowly adding up...one person might think, well its okay if i do this aslong as everyone else is good...or "its just alittle electricity, wont make a difference"
as these things add up, we are slowly screwing our planet...water levels are already rising, check out venice, australia and many other countries with low lying or flood prone areas...air temp is rising, weather unpredictable, ocean currents changing, ice melting...and yet we are all too lazy to change our ways...its gona cost us, and quite soon.
i dont wanna die cos others are too lazy, so cmon people lets do somthing about it. dont turn on a light, open a curtain. dont drive short distance, ride a bike.
start now or pay later...

i actually laughed the other dy when i read the news paper...in a small town in asutralia, nsw.,.there was an article on the erosion that the water levels are causing...and in the articl it said somthing along the lines of "we know the damage erosion and water levels will have on (towns name) but, this will not happen as the council would not allow it"

bahaha wot they gonna do? stand infront of the oncoming water n growing cliffs with a stop sign? i dont think so... the governemts gotto pick up their act, not ignore the problem n hope it goes away...they are so in denial that they are rubbing off on people around the world, so many people dont even know whats coming...n coming fast..

yeah, you are right..it will cost abit to change to a more efficient power source...but it will cost lot more if we do nothing..."chilling" isnot going to help any of us..infact if we just chill n go on as we are...itll cost alot of lives...and wot use is money if youv drowned due to crazy water levels, cyclones, unpredictable weather n such?

A lot of people don't care. Where I live, the nearest place to recycle is over an hour away so therefore most people chose not to do it. I have spoke to my parents about this and my dad has the same attitude as a lot of people - by the time it gets too bad he'll be gone. (What about his kids & grandkids?) I think a lot of people think like that - they do not want to open their eyes to what is going on around them right now. Another thing is switching to energy saving choices will cost money and it seems like the more you try to help the atomosphere & save money yourself, the more it costs to get started doing it - and the government will not step in to make it easier to switch over. A lot of people can not afford to change to solar energy right now (hopefully they will at some point). I recently switched all of my outside lights to solar and I know it cost a lot more to buy those than the electric ones. When people are on a budget, they will go with the cheapest instead of what is best for our planet.

I think we are taking it as 'Well I'll deal with it when its here' kinda thing. Basically when its so screwed up it isnt ignorable anymore. If the government made better energy saving laws and actually enforced them, it would help.

It's because people like to live in comfort and they value that above anything that may happen in the future.

Yes, yes, and yes. I look at my daughters and wonder what kind of world there will be for them in 30 years. And what about their children? Gimme, Gimme, fast fix seems to be the thought du jour.
