Because the pigment melanin which determines the depth of colour in skin hair and eyes, is less present in these areas inc the mouth soles of feet etc. It's probably also related to the fact that these are areas where there are fewer hairs and no subcutaneous (deep) tissue so less light is absorbed.

I am going to have a guess here and say that the pigmentation on the outer surface of the skin deflects the sun's rays and stop them from being overheated and burned,and the skin is thinner,but the skin on their palms are thicker and is less likely to burn.

Probably for the same reason that I (a Scando-Euro-Mutt) have palms much lighter than the backs of my hands. look up melanin and sunlight.

Haven't you noticed this about the
Black Race?
Blacks usually have lighter palms and
soles of the feet.
It doesn't have anything to do with light,
or hair, that's the way the Race was Created.

its because their palms and the bottom of their feet are warn more and there for is tougher and then is a different colour.
