Do people in the Middle-East hate Americans for the same reason Americans hate illegal immigrants?

One of the big reasons Americans hate illegal immigrants is the fact that they come to the USA and steal social resources. They take jobs away from US citizens, which tends to keep wages low for lower income jobs. They strain the welfare system, more than 60% of the families on welfare are not US citizens. In short, illegals rob the wealth of the country.
In the middle-east, the USA buys the oil resources. In many countries in the middle east, these oil profits are horded by heads of state in personal bank accounts. The wealth of these countries does not educate the people, build infrastructure to develop commerce, build hospitals, or benefit the people in anyway.
When the oil is gone, these people will be left with dust, but their government officials will be living the high life.
Do you think it's possible, the basis for the hatred of America is the same as America's hatred of illegal immigrants?

I think that just maybe, MAYBE, I have a slightly different perspective on this question, being a multi-generation American of European decent, having traveled, worked, and lived in the Middle East and Mexico.
As a rule, the illegal 'Mejhecanos' that enter the USA, 'illegally', are doing so because they want to work(and they take the jobs MOST Americans see themselves as too good to do), provide their families a better way of life, and BUILD FOR THE FUTURE !!!
THE MAJOR reason they must inter the USA illegally, IS NOT BECAUSE THEY WANT TOO, IT IS BECAUSE OUR - OUR State Dept. has played politics and RESTRICT THE VISA'S FOR MEXICO, to a low number, annually !!!! THIS A FACT, I TRAVEL, WORK AND HAVE A 2ND HOME IN MEXICO, AND I HAVE TRAVELED DOWN THAT ROAD GETTING MY WIFE HER VISA'S AND RESIDENCY CARD !!!( Do any of you 'criers' want to bet, maybe about 10 POUNDS of $100.00 bills? Not going to waste time counting the money, we will just weigh it !!).
NOW:, The Middle East: I spent some time in the middle east in the 1950's while I was in the Army Security Agency, THEN as a civilian, working for an American company, I returned to work in the middle east, and flew into there JUNE 6, 1967, THE DAY the 6 day war started !!!! DAMN IT FOLKS, I WAS THERE,AND I HAVE WORKED WITH THE ARABS!!!! I do not listen, nor pay attention to those who "Annalise The Situation", Sitting safely 5000 miles away, as they are SO FULL of SHITZ, their eyes have turned brown!!!!
The Vast Majority of Arabs are industrious, hard working, family oriented, and honorable. THERE ARE, however, a small MINORITY who take a "bit here, a bit there, a bit of this-but change this around, a bit more from over there, and OUR interpatation of what we want it to say", ADD THIS TO THEIR KORAN AND then PRONOUNCE, WE WILL 'ANNOINT OURSELVES' and DESTROY EVERYONE, EVERYTHING, ANYWHERE, WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE EXACTLY AS WE WANT THEM TOO!!!
These "radicals" have DESTROYED" what they have had in the past, because of the attitude;;"IF I DON'T HAVE BETTER THAN YOU, I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU HAVE" !!!!! THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON BETWEEN THE ARAB TRIBES,FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS !!!

In my experience, peoples of other nations are not as obsessed about money as Americans can be, but, I do think there is resentment among the people of the mid-east towards Americans, and more generally, the west.

Part of this resentment stems from Israel, but, also, the middle eastern nations had a proud heritage, they were the pinnacle of enlightenment until the 15th century or so.

They were leaders in philosophy, the arts, the sciences, and in commerce for a thousand years or more. The west then became the strongest in these cultural areas while middle eastern nations too a back seat. Militarily, the 17th century spelled the doom of the mid east.

Now, they demand recognition based on pride, and, have wrapped this racial pride around religion, and, well, we are at odds. God help us all...

This is a great question. It's not so much like the illegal immigrant issues, but I think I understand what you mean.

The animosities initially did start with just the oil exploitations, but as if that wasn't enough, the US and Britain (under the influence of British Petroleum), went on to do other things to create civil unrest, even changes of government which suited our interests, but would impose tyrants on the locals. These tyrants were our little "plants" who'd promise to look the other way, while we'd have our way without any regard to human rights. The beauty of this country is that as much as our government commits these atrocities, we can, for the most part, find out due to our freedoms.

Out standing analysis. Allow me to put my 2 cents in, since I'm quite familiar with people and cultures of both countries.
Although you might see or hear some anti Mexican news, the reality is that the majority of them come to work in the field, with low pay, harsh work environment and they are actually needed in California and Texas. Farmers know this fact well.
And they leave as soon as the job is down or they made the money needed to feed family in Mexico. On the other hand, Mexican border towns like Mexicali, Tecate and of course Tijuana get flooded by American Tourist shopping, dining and enjoying a relaxed environment. And nights belong to American Teens, to party and drink, bcoz of the lower age restrictions. Plus many retired Americans move to Mexico for lower cost of living.
But Iraq is a different story, the people of Middle East are very humble and quite and they are pretty patient under aggression , but when they rise up to protest, there is siting back until they are dead or they succeed to gain their freedom.
That's a mighty power to deal with. Even with US massive fire power. We all talk about suicide bombers being lunatic, and fanatic, what we fail to realize is that it takes some above and beyond belief's, and whole lots of guts to push that button.
Do we have that guts, i know for sure i don't? Do you?
then i think is much safer for all to get out of ME.

Americans generally do not hate illegals. We are opposed to illegal immigration because it is illegal. Law abiding citizens expect the government, at all levels, to uphold the laws that they are sworn to uphold. We don't want open borders because it allows drug dealers, terrorists, criminals to enter the US. Obviously we don't want such people here.

People in the Middle East who hate the US are muslim crazies. They have perverted their religion and presumably get some benefit out of their hate. There are many Middle Eastern countries where there is no oil for export. Citizens there hate the US for the same perverted reason.

There is no comparison between the two issues. We buy oil legally.

1st of all not all Americans HATE illegal immigrants. I personally don't hate anyone. They are just people who are trying to make a better way for themself in the world. I certainly can't blame them for that. Most of them do contribute to society by holding down jobs, getting education for their kids,etc. I think the reason that the Middle East hates Americans is because we as a country are very free/liberal and their religion believes we are wrong and also because we are allies of Israel. Anyway this is my perspective.

Its not just about economy, while your analogy might be partialy correct when it comes to straining resources we have to take other factors in consideration.

While illegal immigrants in America tend to accept whatever is given to them which is at best meagre, US policy in the ME aims to the top trying to control the bulk of the resources of any country.

Illegal immigrants in the US try to hide themselves as much as possible not attracting anybodies attention for the obvious reason, the US goes to the ME with its full war machine and just sticks its tongue out in arrogance to whoever doesn't like it.

Arresting Illegal immigrants in the US and sending them back to their countries is called by Americans enforcing the law... when people try to do the same with the Americans they are called "terrorists".

In short it is the American bully attitude and the injustice people feel becasue of the American presence and how it reflects negatively on their lives that make people hate the US not simply becasue of their presence.

Interesting thought, but I think racism is the central factor in our hated for Illegal Immigrants from Mexico (as opposed to those from Australia or Scotland) and belief that the Crusades is still going on is central to the hatred of Middle Easterners to us. So I guess in a way both are based on misunderstanding the information available.
