No that sounds like its sick. Bowls are not good homes for fish especially big fish like goldfish. If you have a betta in that bowl it can survive but really needs the water changed at least every 5 days and if the bowl is a small one then more often than that. If the fish is a goldfish it won't ever survive in a bowl unless you change the water at least 2 times a day.
Never the less, what ever fish you have in there, it sounds like you need to change the water. I think you have waited too long to act and the fish is likely on its death bed.
Fish do not get pregnant, they are not mammals. I suggest you do some on line research about your pet, or get a good book, because fish really are exotic pets, you must know a thing or two to keep them alive and healthy.

You didn't say what type of fish it was, but from what you're saying , it sounds sick, not prego. A guppy will hover at the top if about to give birth. It might go about 24 hours of not eating before it has babies.
Look at some of the fish sites and make sure you fish doesn't have some illness. Try feeding it something different as well, it may not like the food you're feeding.
Forget calling the vet, that's a stupid answer, It's a fish!! If it dies , buy another.

There is the possibility that it's poorly. Try buying some Methylene Blue, the King British brand. It's a anti-fungal agent with antiseptic healing properties. It's for cold water and tropical fish, follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Dont worry if the tank goes blue, its supposed to, it'll go away in a few days.

They usually give birth about 3-4 weeks after fertilization. I personally wouldn't stick her in a breeding trap, they are quite stressful. If you have a lot of cover in the tank, the fish will survive. When she is about to give birth, her stomach will form a right angle which is called "squaring off". Some also develop a 'white pimple' on their vent. I hope this helped, congratulations on your fish :) Will.

Well, from the other Q's you asked, i know that you're talking about a goldfish, and the answer is no it's not pregnant

Your fish is sick because of the lack of oxygen and space to move, and also from overfeeding it sounds like

It sounds like your fish is constipated, you're suppose to feed him only twice a day, as much as he will eat in under 2 min

And you're definately suppose to get him at least a 10 gallon tank with filter, which provides him with proper oxygen at all times

Hope that helps
Good luck

well really depneds on the type of fish

although, i don't think so, when fish are pregnant they aren't that sluggish, they still swim around lively

if you have tetras or gold fish or any other fish than live bearers (platies, mollies gupies) it can't be

hope that helps and good luck

Oh hang on - I'm sure I've heard of qualified people who know about animal stuff... It's coming to me... Ooohh, I've got it...

Speak to a VET! How long do you think that poor fish will last without eating? Either you care about it, and you want a professional to look at it, or you don't, in which case wait for it to die or give birth, then you'll know whether to flush it or give it a bigger tank.

You have to let us know which kind of fish it is. I dont think is pregnant, usually they have eggs which are laid, not carried. But still let us know the type of fish.

i guess so, since its rounded...
it may be hiding because she's stressed, try to get her into an isolate tank full of plants where she can be much comfortable

then again, it could because of the water condition
