I am needing to know what the best type of glue would be in order to glue a small RESIN medallion to a SOFT PINE WOOD curtain hold-back?

I think I'd use a 2 part 5 minute epoxy. Gorilla glue is good, but be aware it expands as it dries, so there may be some clean up issues. Also do a web search for a site called 'this to that'. It contains info on how to glue anything to anything. You enter the materials to be glued, and up pops their recommended adhesive. It's not a manufacturers site and so will give you a variety of choices. Good Luck!

No offense at all but BEST is pretty much relative.

One of the things I'd want to know is that any substance I use wouldn't attack the substance of the medallion.

Though I've never used Gorilla glue,,,perhaps out of fear of it being made from Old Gorillas LOLOL. I hear it touted all over. Certainly there are others; and it's also a matter of personal opinion. Cove base adhesive would work/ Liquid nails also. 5 minute epoxy; contact cement; Double backed adhesive foam tape; sticky backed velcro pieces; etc.

Good Lord! You don't need Gorilla Glue here or any type of epoxy. This is a light weight, non load bearing application. Use regular wood glue or even Elmers. Clamp it overnight (or use a rubber band if you don't have a clamp) and it will be perfect.

First clean both surfaces, double stick tape is good temporarily. For a more permanant adhesion I would use gorilla glue. You only need a small amount in the center.

Go the JB Weld route. Strongest stuff on the market. Another suggestion is "3 Bond". You can get it at motorcycle dealers through their after market catalogs. It's specialy made for plastic repair. The glue is similar to crazy glue. It also comes with fiberglass mesh patches to further strenghten the repair.
