I need to create a curtain of mist, whether it be water or carbon dioxide. if it is water, it should be superfine so as not to wetr the floor.

They have hoses with tiny holes in them that emit a mist. They are designed to cool outdoor areas. As for a curtain, the mist will go wherever the air takes it. Use a fan to direct it.

Even if superfine, a water mist thick enough to be visible will wet the floor unless your ambient humidity is really really low. As for the dry ice suggestion, while less messy you need to make sure the room is well-ventilated so you don't build up a toxic level of CO2!

Is this the sort of thing you're looking for? Granted, it's on a pretty large scale, so might be overkill.

you can use dry-ice and a fan or you can buy one of the mist-machines that are used in night clubs, shows,etc
