There are two good books that I'd recommend. The one book I have. The other I'm planning on getting soon.

If you are a beginner in Excel programming, I'd recommend:

Excel 2003 Power Programming with VBA
by John Walkenbach
ISBN: 0-7645-4072-6

I have Walkenbach's book and it is very very good. I've learned a ton of stuff from it. Most Visual Basic books I skip around to find out what I need, but this one I am reading straight through because it is just that informative and it is layed out pretty well. It starts you out at the fundamentals helping you understand why things are set up the way they are and takes you from the fundamentals to complex aspects of programming in Excel.

The other book that I recommend is:

Professional Excel Development: The Definitive Guide to Developing Applications Using Microsoft(R) Excel and VBA(R) (The Addison-Wesley Microsoft Technology Series)

I've looked at the reviews for this book on Amazon.com and every Excel programmer gave it rave reviews (5 stars out of 5). I don't think I've ever seen a book get 5 star ratings by everyone that rated it for a programming book besides this one (even including the Walkenbach book). From what I've read of the reviews, this is for the more advanced Excel/VBA programmer. And it would be a good idea to read Walkenbach's book first before reading this one.

Walkenbachs book has some websites that he lists at the back for reference sites. Another thing to check out is the Object Browser in the Visual Basic Editor. You can learn a ton from it and how the Excel Visual Basic programming commands are structured. The Object Browser gives you a tree visualization of the command structure then you can click on the question button to find help on any command.

There is one last book that I'd recommend:

Visual Basic 6 Black Book
by Steven Holzner
ISBN: 1-57610-283-1

This is more of a flip back and forth and use the index a ton book. The book is written for Visual Basic 6 and not VBA so some of the commands will be slightly different than for VBA, but most are the same. To a certain extent you can discover many of the same things through the Object Browser, but this book has come in handy a ton for me. I like it because it provides a lot of the little values and codes that are hard to find otherwise. It is a segmented book made for problem solving and not really reading straight through.

As for finding other good online sources my best recommendation is to find your topic and Google it. Chances are that someone somewhere on the web has asked the same question or something similar to it. I rarely to never ask a question unless I am totally stumped, can't find an answer in my reference books, or find an answer online that was already asked and answered by other people. Some VBA websites require that you pay to use them. There are a few that are free. I used to go to the VBA websites and answers questions here and there, but many of them you have to pay so I tend to answer questions here now. Keep in mind that depending on the website, some may take a day or two for you to get an answer. Others may take you weeks or months to get an answer. So if you find a good VBA help website that you get answers at quickly, stick to it.

I consider Neil b, if no person in a administration place asked which you create the applying, and allowed time throughout the artwork day(s) to create it, you very own the rights to it.
