...you pretend you believe them just to see how far their lying will go and uncover them when there is no way for them to make it up and you just finish with them?

Give 'em some loose rope, and pull the noose when the rope is long enough!

There have been times that I let their lie go all the way while me, was doing my own thing knowing the truth. Their surprise on the final uncovering when they were trapped in their own lies, was a satisfaction for me. It was kind of fun too.

O course, if the lie is very serious and o crucial matters, I respond immediately just to stop things for being worse, even dangerous. It all depends on how big and how bad this lie can be.

Our main precaution should be our safety.

Well, i think i do both. Maybe it is better to uncover them right away because sometimes it can be painful to see how far they can go.
But i make the difference between white lies and the harmful ones.

Do what serves your purpose but always know that a bit of lies are the spices in a otherwise boring narrative.A straight, plain and honest life can be very boring and a Little bit of harmless lies makes things interesting. No harm to anyone.

If you tell them right away it takes the fun out of it. Sit back and watch to see just how low they will go, and then act appropriately. Only make sure that you keep the individual at a safe enough distance to not do you any harm.

mhmm, it depends on the mood I'm in.. some times I'll just blatantly point out to them that I know they're lying, usually when I'm otherwise frustrated and don't feel up to exploring the possibility to go any further with it. now when my mind is in a more sadistic state, I'll toy with them a bit to see how far they'll go, and then really get them with it at the perfect moment.

I let them know right off the bat when they've told a lie. I don't pretend to believe them, just come right out and ask them.

If I think someone is lying, I ask them straight out what's going on and tell them my thoughts.

for me if I suspect if they'r lying or hidding something from me I should know about I tend to get a gut feeling before hand but I usually just wait it out for them to tell me and confirm it dbefore I go haywire though I secretly get really sad and dissociated from them if I have a feeling about it.

I confront them straight away. No point continuing a lie with further deceipt. That just makes you equally dishonest.
