When you are faced with death, what is the final fear that you will have?

This is good question that prompted a lot of self-examination, but I've concluded I do not have a final fear. While I am not anxious to die, I must admit there is a certain anticipation to life's last great adventure. It is the natural end to all things and I am overwhelmed with curiosity of what comes next. If it is nothingness as some believe, that is nothing to fear. If it is heaven or reincarnation, is there a transitory period? (I have no fear that I will end up in "hell"--whatever that may be.") Is it a unity of consciousness with the Beloved (God) and those that have gone before me? Or-for each of us-might it be simple relief that we are leaving the suffering of this world behind? I believe at that moment I will be looking forward, not past.
