for P and R, subtract the y values :
8-0=8

for Q and S, subtarct the x values:
8-2=6

A=1/2(l*w)
=1/2(6*8)
=24 square units

the kite is composed of 4 rectangula triangle with sies equal to the half of width and length of the kite.
I can not draw the kite but try on a graduated paper
the height of the kite is 8 (half of length PR ) and the width is 6 (half of QS)
so one triangle has sides of 4 and 3
the area of the triangle is 4*3/2 =6
as you have 4 triangles the total area is 4*6 = 24

PR = √[(5 - 5)^2 + (0 - 8)^2] = 8
SQ = √[(8 - 2)^2 + (6 - 6)^2] = 6

Area of kite
= (1/2) PR x SQ
= (1/2) x 8 x 6
= 24
