Choose a name that is significant to you and her mother as well as pleasing to the ear.
Don't go too wacky, because someday that young woman may be receiving her Doctorate and really wouldn't like having Apple Blossom Sunshine or Harleys Rule on her diploma.
My first name (Patricia - which I'm not CRAZY about) is the name of my Dad's sister who died very young shortly before I was born. My middle name is a VERY old family name (Jennings). They do flow well together and have stories behind them.
No matter what you choose - you make it what you want - not what someone else wants.
And remember I'm older than you are and times change. One fellow had a terrific list and the man beneath him also had some lovely ones.
You also live on the other side of the world so I imagine there are popular names there that we have never heard of.
Don't be too trendy - or too stuffy either. Whatever you do - I DO hate it when people make names up that have absolutely no meaning whatsoever and don't even sound nice. Remember the child will also have to be able to write it some day soon and others will have to be able to pronounce it.
(My mother's name is Ruth - she HATES it.-so do I)
