Hope can never drag you or anyone else down. Hope can only lift us or set us free.

Desires, wishful thoughts, wanna bees, attachments, memories and replayed emotions can drag us down. These are best dealt with by using discipline and wisdom. Hope and Dreams can also help.

I would hold onto hope no matter what, because I don't believe hope can drag you down as long as you realize simply hoping doesn't do anything really for anyone. It's the hope of success and the courage to carry on that makes a difference.

Hi,
Yes I hold on to hope because I believe in the power of postiive thinking and there are so many dreams I have seen come true.
BUT not everything in this life is possible. Some hopes I still hold on to and I'm not so sure I wil see them realised now but I will keep on hoping
I WON'T however hold onto hope when it drags you down. If a situation is hopeless, I will accept it and move on. If there is still hope, I will hold on to this but still move on in other areas. If it's meant to be, it will happen.

I have never thought that hope drags you down. Hope is uplifting and sometimes gives a person who has a tenuous hold on life a reason to hang on. I find myself saying "I hope" many times. I don't know what the origin of this saying is, but I like it - "One can only hope."

I should never let go my hope and I must hold onto it despite and (when) I feel despair or unhappy. The hope is my only gift that I have and will have for ever.
However, hoping for the best can mislead some people who are not prepared for. If you are hoping for a true love, you must wait; it will come alone and don't look for it…

Of course I hold on to hope, that is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes.
There are so many things that need people to keep up their hope for. Hope keeps us alive.
Hope don't drag me down it is a positive attitude and mind set.
Some of the most despairing experiences can cause us to lose hope. But we can't let that drag us down.
Keep on hoping.

To hope is--to hope for the "likelihood" of certain events or conditions to take place; hopeful refers to a positive state of mind, optimistic, based on probability. I cannot see how "hope" could drag one down.
Wishing can--wishing for, or wanting something that may never occur, & simply isn't within reach. Fantasies & dreams. I'd never suggest we stop having them, as long as we can handle disappointment if they don't "come true." (Contrary to the song, wishing won't make it so...) Unwise to "hold on" to WISHES that drag you down.
A substantial amount of confidence goes hand & hand with hope; no reason to let it go.

Hope doesn't drag you down, it's doubt that takes the credit for that. Hope lifts you ans carries you until you are able to stand on your own again.
