In science: it is what all matter occupy.
Other than that, the sky could either be the life of a poet, the shelter of the needy, or the nuisance of the fools.
But, for me, if sky is the limit, then space is the determinant. Or it would be the final limit...

oh i will reproduction and paste without interpreting: on the subject count of the dome question is the place the Bible says God created the sunlight, moon, and stars. right this is what the Bible says: God made the two super lighting fixtures, the greater advantageous gentle to control the day, and the lesser gentle to control the night; He made the celebrities additionally. God placed them interior the expanse of the heavens to grant gentle on earth, (Genesis a million:sixteen-17, NASB) God made 2 super lighting fixtures--the greater advantageous gentle to control the day and the lesser gentle to control the night. He additionally made the celebrities. God set them interior the expanse of the sky to grant gentle on earth, (Genesis a million:sixteen-17, NIV) And God made 2 super lighting fixtures; the greater advantageous gentle to rule the day, and the lesser gentle to rule the night: he made the celebrities additionally. And God set them interior the firmament of the heaven to grant gentle upon the earth, (Genesis a million:sixteen-17, KJV) One word is "expanse" (or "firmament" interior the KJV) it is the Hebrew word "râqîya". the different 2 English words are "sky" and "heaven" (or "heavens"). interior the Hebrew, those words are somewhat the comparable. there is not any particular word that differentiates "sky" from "heaven," because of the fact that they're all the comparable Hebrew word, "shâmayim." actually, it grew to become into the translators selection whether to apply the interest "sky" or "heaven." So, there is not any differentiation whether the celebrities have been created interior the sky or heaven. Secondly, God defines the râqîya as being equivalent to the shâmayim: God stated as the expanse [râqîya] heaven [shâmayim]. And there grew to become into night and there grew to become into morning, a 2d day. (Genesis a million:8) So, opposite to the declare, the Bible does no longer say that the sunlight, moon and stars have been created interior the sky or ecosystem.

Is this a trick question or what? "Sky is the limit" is an idiom which I think you know what it means. If you apply this idiom in the literal sense, then it wouldn't make sense at all. It's like saying: "A star is a heavenly body, but Tom Cruise is a star, therefore, Tom Cruise is a heavenly body." Get it? it's just plain absurdity.
