If not, are their jobs still open to them after all this time?
If so, are ALL their patients & colleagues supportive or suspiscious? I have not given my opinion either way because I prefer to wait for the WHOLE truth to come out.

No, they have stated that they are on unpaid leave. So, how are they living? How are they paying for that massive home or buying groceries and diapers for their children? How are they paying their bills? I wouldn't doubt that they are living off the interest that is being made on all that "Find Maddy Fund" money. Must be nice. Wouldn't it be nice for everyone who loses a child to be able to take 5 months+ off of work? I thought they went home to get their lives "back to normal"? I know the fund says "to provide support to the family", but most people would assume that meant just while they were in Portugal. I don't think that the fund should now be used as an income source for them, so they don't have to work. I know Maddie is still missing, but at some point life does have to go on.

I don't think they're in any fit state to go back to work as yet. Then you have to think about hospital management/Practice manager. They will be thinking in terms of what is best for their patients as indeed for their doctors.

I'm sure some of their colleagues will be supportive of them if others may not be. Then some patients could demand another doctor/specialist and finally hospitals, medical practices thrive on remaining publicity free. Why they should support the Mc Canns or not, they will not want any controversy.

Apparently they have no plans to return to work in the near future. They and their lawyers worked out a way to give them access to the million pounds plus in the "fund" for "living expenses" which includes paying their mortgage etc. So I doubt if they will ever return to work. There is also the interest that the fund generates which should be in the region of 1500 pounds per week which does not go back into the fund and nobody seems to know where it goes. They refuse to detail where the fund is going so your guess is as good as mine.

That is what one of the aims of the fund is for to support the family?

Yes, like the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I agree with you. I prefer to wait for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So far we have just received lies and hoaxes.

But to anwer the rest of your question I am glad I am not under their health care. I wouldnt put my health in the hands of child neglecters. I don't see them returning to work and anyway, why bother returning to work when they can live off the fund and their celebrity status? §

I would be worried about Kate's ability as a GP. They are meant to spot children in vulnerable or abusive situations and given the fact she thinks it it OK for 3 toddlers under 4 to be left alone I wouldn't trust her judgement.

As a patient I wouldn't like to have to be face to face with either of them but I am sure some people would love to!

No because they are entitled to use the fund to pay all their family expenses and want to do so while they work on the Find Maddy Fund.

I think its ill advised. They would be better returning their lives to as normal as possible.

They are taking a break from work, I think its 6 months full pay and 6 months unpaid.
Most jobs with organizations such as the NHS offer this kind of deal in extreme circumstances.
