I was wondering if it was possible that your deceased pet could possibly make contact with you from the other side. Molly died 2 weeks ago and it would be some comfort to me if I knew she was around sometimes and if so how would I know? I had her for 11 years and I miss her so much.

TOO weird, "Holly" died two weeks ago after I scraped up the $3000 that I did'nt have to save her, I borrowed from my 401K, The house is lonley and too quite, she was 11 years old, I am 46 years old and I cried like a baby at the vet when I had to sign the papers to put her down. i sometimes think that i hear her in the house (it's just acorns hitting the house), out of the corner of my eye I think she's curled up in the corner sleeping. Just think how good it was to have them for so long, they had great lives because of us ! That's why I hate dogs, they don't live long enough.

Molly will always be with you. Her physical being may no be there, but the memories she left you will always be there for you.

For a fleeting moment you may see a part of her. That's because she was with you for so long. Those memories will be kept tucked away for safe keeping in your heart.

Our long haired beauty let us go 5 weeks ago. We had her and enjoyed her company along with her crazy, silly moments
for 25 years. We feel as though Kitty (her name) is still here at times. Just the other day while at the computer I saw her fluffy tail go by. It was a moment to remember her.

You will find your closure. My own closure is knowing Kitty is now taking her well deserved rest. No other cat will ever take her place, because all animals have there own unique personality's. That's not say we wouldn't get another animal.

Always remember they never really go away. Not with all those memories they leave with us.

Your sadness will get better a little at a time and that's OK.

Take care. I'll be thinking about you.

i dont understand..n believe me i am not trying to sound cruel but...how exactly would a dog contact you from the other side? woof woof?
i like to think that all of the pets i have had and that have left me are wiating for me in heaven...so if you believe in that, thats somthing to look forward to...also simply taking the time to remember all of the good times...it may make you alittle sad, but just think, molly lived her life with you, a loving owner and couldnt have asked for more...i dont really know the situation, or what kind of owner you were, but for someone to post a question like this, you must have loved her a great deal...sorry for your loss.

n as others have mentioned, animals we share our lives with, especially for such a long time, could never be replaced, although it may be a good idea at some point to bring a new animal into the house... help out an animal by giving it a home, and bring some livliness back to a home :)

I like to think that they go to heaven. When my childhood dog died, I was upset for years. I prayed that god looked over my dog, and that my grandparents looked after him in heaven. Remember all of the good times and what a wonderful life you gave Molly. With her memory fresh in your mind, Molly will continue to live in you........forever! Remember that she was lucky to have you and you were lucky to have her. No pet would want its owner to be sad, so try to smile and remember all the funny and happy things molly brought to you. Maybe you could make a plaque or paint a large decorative rock and make a garden in her favorite outdoor place. Something that will be special to you that will remind you of her. I know you don't want to hear it, but after you get a chance to grieve, consider adoptiong another pet. It will not replace molly, but what greater of a gift than giving a homeless pet a new chance and new life with you. Molly would agree.

I think so. And I think their spirit can also pass on into another pet. After I lost my 3 year old kitty on Valentine's Day, I got a new kitten a few weeks later. It was in a dog pound with literally a hundred other kittens, but it was like a little light was shining on this one, so I picked her. She is the neatest cat and does things only Bosco did... like chew on the tips of my fingers one by one. If she is in your mind really intensely, she is nearby.

Is Molly a fish? Take comfort that a fish is able to live to a ripe old age of 11 years.

The only way to do justice to your cat and keep her soul happy is to remember the good moments you had together. She needs to be a happy memory, because this is how she remains close to you (in your mind) happy. So don't be sad or remember the bad things that are associated to her death.

When we bury dead pets in our garden under a tree/plant, this can be.
