Easy, just average the x coordinates, and average the y coordinates... that is the midpoint:

m(AB) = (5, 1)

It's even easier if you realize it is a vertical line. What's halfway between -2 and 4?

this is extra efficient to think of and understand that to objective to memorize formula. in case you recognize what's occurring, you may re-derive the formula. This approximately 2 factors drawn on a blackboard, and then evaluate the two dimensions one by one. Horizontally, the X coordinate could be midway between the X coordiantes of the two end factors, top? Vertically, theY-coordinate midpoint could be one million/2 way between the Y coordiantes of the endpoints. midway between X1 and X2 is the traditional of X1 and X2 which may be (X1 + X2) / 2
