The golden rule is generally stated as, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," or, more colloquially, "Treat others the way you want to be treated."
It actually was first said by Jesus in his most famous sermon -- Jesus said that the all the Old Testament laws can pretty much be summed up by that one principle. "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

I do not know who wrote it,but basically it is"He who has the gold make the rules"or whoever has the largest amount ecomomic might makes the rules,IE: Example, a large corporation with it's billions of dollars, they seldom lose a lawsuit, as they have the money"gold" ,to pay the best attorneys, and the best chances to win a favorable verdict in any courtroom.Hence, they make the decesions and the outcome because they have the most monetary power,or Gold.....So,a corporation or individual, have an ability to set new legal decesions in law or turn over previous judgements, older legal guidelines, and laws..

"Do onto others as you would have (or want) them to do to you"
I 1st heard it as a child, from my mother and then in preschool. Everyone I asked says the same, so who invented it probably isn't as important as the way it teaches conscientious, cooperative, and compassionate behavior at an early age
