I can't speak for the Ericssons, but it may not be as simple as finding an appropriate cheat code; according to my Nokia's documentation, the reason it needs the headphones (or "other suitable device") to be attached is that it actually uses the headphone lead as the antenna for the FM radio. So making it think the headphones were plugged in wouldn't help a lot, because it wouldn't get a decent signal unless they actually were.
