Instead of going to a school councilor and getting some help you think running away is going to solve your problems.HA! I ran away many times and even got caught, but maybe that is just because I wanted to, If I really wanted to run away as a teen I am sure I could have gone far,but I knew it is so dangerous out there. I held back because I am a girl, but that is no different for a boy.Boys can get beat up , or raped too.Listen take it from some one who has successfully and unsuccessfully ran away as a teen .It is not worth it.There so many other ways to solve problems.I know confronting them is hard especially when no one may seem to be on your side.Tell the school councilor to arrange a meeting with your parents to tell your parents you need to see a psychiatrist. They will not think you are crazy, because crazy people do not know they are, if you know you need help than you are able to be helped. Please do not run away it will break your parents hearts.

You got to do what you have to do son. I am gonna assume you dont have a car or a credit card. But I do hear newspaper makes a great insulator and rat meat is very rich in protein. Dont forget the tin can for change you might find. Take a deck of cards and set up 3 card montie on the corner and hustle stupid tourist for food money.

Supply? Enough money to call Boys Town. Explain to them your problem at home. They do help, good luck. You dont want to wind up on the street, cause the people there are evil.

knife. a good one. money. 100 dollers is somewhere to start. some plan of where to go. clothes. and sleeping arrangements (sheets are a good thing to start with) you not going to be able tostay at one place to a bike. depending on how old you are then a razor would be good. soap. and of course deodorant.
go to a fire station. im serious. i dont know what your going throw i know a lot of friends who were neglected as children so i can understand maybe a little. a firestation are supposed to be"safe place" i dont really know exactly what that means, but if your a run away i know that they are willing to help. thats a good place for the night.
also
go to a church. if your on the streets, you need God. plus they will help you as well wiht food and likely maybe even a new home if you ask.

Hella clean socks. A list of phone numbers. You have to know where all the good food deals in town are. What gas station bathrooms are kept unlocked. Gloves, a lighter, at least two beanies for when it's cold outside. You know you will be sleeping outside right? $$$ helps. An ID, socks are so important.
