Why did the NFL make this rule about endzone celebrations...watching football players celebrate a touchdown used to be fun seeing what players come up with. I mean fine you cant use foreign objects but what about the field goal pole? T.O. used it in one of his *spygate* celebration and he was fined 7 grand, this past Sunday Patrick Crayton went up and kissed the pole he wasn't fined... You aren't supposed to go to the ground after scoring yet I saw Plaxico Burris go to his knee after scoring on Sunday he didn't get fined, T.O. went to the ground last season faking as if he was going to sleep using the football as a pillow he was fined! I think the NFL needs to ease up on the rule a bit if not be fair on the punishment just dont fine a player because you may not like him. People pay alot of money to watch these guys preform and you take a part of the fun away...

I believe it was Paul Tagliabue, I agree they need to back off a little. Football is a game let the guys have fun.

I think TO used the ball in the *spygate* celebration also and that is why he was fined, not because of the goal post. And Plexico Burris getting down on his knee is a bit different the TO pretending to be asleep. I'm not saying it was but it could be construed as a religious movement rather than showboating. And again, I think TO was fined for using the ball in his celebration, not going to the ground.

I think some celebration is fine, but guys like TO and Chad Johnson just make me feel like they are trying to put an i in team. It's unnecessary and a waste of time. He may have caught the ball but he wasn't the only TEAM member who had a hand in making that touchdown happen.

I couldn't DISAGREE more. I was glad when the NFL cracked down on the stupid, time wasting, immature TD celebrations. Nothing wrong with being excited and maybe giving a high five to your team mate, or chest bumping your OL but the planned, choreographed stunts that were being pulled off were ridiculous.
