Its a tough one.
All though one person to themselves can feel at ease and be happy with what they have who they are, others will try and say the opposite about that said person.
For an example, one stage in my life I was happy with who I was, I gave up smoking and I was with a man who loved me for me. I was happy. Yet my sister tried to over-rule me saying she knows me better then I do, and knows I'm not happy. Of course trying to tell people that you are happy and getting them to believe is hard. For some, its of course not true - can be a cry for help. Others, especially myself - its tiring.
From that night on, I stopped being happy with who I was. Because my sister wouldnt believe me, and the over-ruling - it made me think, is she right.... I convinced my sister was right, then listening to myself.
I dunno if that makes sense...

i can say i am happy when i am satisfied. however, if you are satisfied, you cannot want any more, so you cannot have chace to get satisfied. So you are not happy.
i dont know, i think you have to keep a balance. sometimes give up, if you are not satisfied. sometimes, desire for something and acheieve it, to be happy.

happiness cannot be attained, it's ethereal, it's definition is constantly changing as you as a human being are constantly changing, but you can have peace, that is real.

in spanish the word for "happy" is "contento". entiendes? learn to live with what you have. what makes us happy isn't what we have but who we have.
