both wrong. But on purpose shows disrespect and probably contempt. However, some people wrong people (is this even proper English ... Oh no, I have wronged the English language) unintentionally, by not considering the many levels a person could interpret the action or misunderstand it.

Intent is everything. The clueless person can be taught, if you are willing to be honest with them. The other has an ego that is a user or is just plain mean, usually they need lessons on a much deeper level. I usually just bless them & let them go.

Well if they do it on purpose..at least you can blame them and be mad. If they are clueless..then you are just left with the "wrong" and saying to yourself.."wow this sucks!" Know what I mean?

Clueless says that he/she is being wronged as well and hasn't figured that out yet. It also says they did not do it on purpose.
On purpose is far worse.

My greatest petpeeve? Someone who deliberately considers me fair game. To me, it's the most unforgivable thing one can do to others. I have the tendency to respond "in kind". Show me goodness and you win my respect. Hurt me on purpose and no trace of you will be left in my life forever.

Someone who is clueless because then they won't understand how you feel and they have no feelings and are like a rock inside, cold and hard.
