Oh my gosh, yeah actually. One night I woke up and walked into the kitchen. I stepped on a slug about the size of my middle finger and almost slipped. Just when I thought I couldn't get anymore grossed out, I turned on the light and there were six more crawling up the walls and cupboards. Ugh it gives me the creeps just talking about it.

I think this isn't a problem for those who go barefoot in public often (which is very healthy) - they are used to it, and for a part of them it's even fun.

I enjoy to go barefoot as much as possible, having tough and healthy feet. Being outdoors, my soles are dirty anyway, so additional smudges are insignificant as they wear off gradually, especially on uneven ground. That's natural.
Therefore, it's no problem to step on garden pests sometimes, like slugs or some of the snail species which feed on vegetables.

I think this is much better than using pesticides, because it's environmentally sound and the vermin has had it instantly.

So, with tough feet, it's no big deal at all. I am seeing other barefooters doing it sometimes, scrunching a fat pest on purpose, then going on as though nothing had happened, leaving some sticky marks on the ground, however.
I saw this and did this from time to time even in barefooter excursion groups while hiking, and I've never heard participants made a disgusted comment on it - it simply wasn't something worth to comment so far and is no problem at all.

i'm beneficial I easily have, yet they're generally interior the deep backyard soil and that i do no longer observe! I do step on snails and slugs each so often, and that i constantly sense undesirable for the creature... stepped on a slug this afternoon, did no longer see it until I felt it in spite of the undeniable fact that it replaced into lifeless earlier i ought to pull back. i actually do no longer think of it is gross, no remember if this is a malicious program, snail or slug all of it washes off. Slug and snail is form of sticky nonetheless, comes off happy with heat water yet particularly a soreness whilst there is in basic terms chilly water attainable.

Lots of times. I don't care for myself -it washes off, and I'm not easily grossed out- but I hate killing the innocent creature. Snails are the worst; I hate the sad little crunch from their shell. I try to avoid them but when they're out in force after the rain, and it's dark out, I sometimes step on one anyhow. Poor thing. :-(

No but once I stepped on a centipede. I'm walking and I feel something weird and turned on the light and there it was squirming for it's life. I almost passed out.
